Best eSIM for Europe 2026: 19 Providers Compared (Real Prices in Euros)

Europe eSIM guide with 19 providers, country coverage, data allowances and validity, checked 17 October 2026.
Last updated: 17 October 2026. This independent comparison covers 19 providers. Prices, destination lists and plan conditions were checked on official sources. Native euro prices are used where verified. Maya and Roamless prices remain in their official US-dollar currency; no estimated euro equivalents are used. The ECB exchange-rate page can help with a separate currency comparison, but it is not a provider checkout quote. Prices are before coupons; checkout currency, card fees and promotions can change the total.
Europe eSIM editorial shortlist: MobiMatter Sparks 10GB for 10 euros, Ubigi 10GB for 15 euros and BNESIM 10GB for 8.99 euros, each valid for 30 days.
MobiMatter, Ubigi and BNESIM lead the expanded editorial shortlist for different reasons. The full comparison covers 19 providers.

A train from Paris to Zurich is a good reminder that a European trip and an EU roaming zone are different things. The best eSIM for Europe needs to cover your actual stops, last until your flight home and leave enough usable data for the days when you need it most.

For a typical multi-country holiday, my first pick is MobiMatter’s Sparks Europe Special: €10 for 10GB over 30 days, with the UK, Switzerland, Iceland and Turkey on its 35-destination list. Ubigi is my second choice for its clearly documented reusable-profile experience. BNESIM ranks third with €8.99 for 10GB over 30 days, or €10.99 without an expiry date. The differences in activation and coverage matter more than those small price gaps.

If you’re searching for the best eSIM for Europe in 2026, the right answer isn’t always the biggest brand or the cheapest plan; it depends on your route, your trip length, and whether you need coverage beyond the EU. For country-specific detail: France · Spain · Italy · Germany · Greece.

Decision guide to check your existing roaming plan before comparing 19 Europe eSIM providers.
Check your home operator’s roaming allowance before buying a separate travel eSIM. This guide compares 19 providers; EU roaming rules and travel-eSIM country lists are different.

For a European road trip, check every border crossing before comparing gigabytes. UK, Switzerland, Turkey and the Western Balkans appear in some regional packages and not others. A brand selling an individual country plan does not mean that country is included in its Europe package.

⚡ What is the best eSIM for Europe in 2026?

1. MobiMatter: Low-cost fixed data with hotspot on a checked route. Sparks Europe Special 10 GB / 30 days: €10.
2. Ubigi: Typical Europe route. 10GB / 30 days €15.
3. BNESIM: Low-cost Europe data and repeat trips with unused GB. 10 GB / 30 days: €8.99; 10 GB with no expiry: €10.99.
4. eSIM.net: Travellers needing normal calls and texts as well as substantial data. EE Europe Travel Plus: 60 GB / 30 days for €21.
5. Airalo: Broader routes and long validity. 10GB / 30 days €28.50.
6. Nomad: Larger fixed-data bundles. 50GB / 30 days €31.23 sale.

Also compared: GigSky, Surfroam, Roamless, Yesim, SimOptions, aloSIM, Holafly, Breeze, Jetpac, Saily, Simbye, Maya Mobile, Airhub. Each has a full section and plan table below.

The short answer: choose the route first, then the product. MobiMatter is a marketplace, so this recommendation is for Sparks Europe Special rather than every eSIM it sells. For native calls and texts, eSIM.net’s EE Europe Travel Plus is a strong alternative, with a separate 5GB Swiss limit. Airalo and GigSky solve different Balkan gaps; Surfroam, Roamless and BNESIM offer different ways to pay for occasional use. Selected Bouygues and Orange packages through SimOptions also include a native phone number.

Why trust this guide: I’m Brazilian, previously lived in Portugal and now live in Belgium. My experience includes Airalo in Figueira da Foz, Nomad in Lisbon and Porto and more recently in Dessel, Belgium, and Holafly in Portugal, Turkey and Thailand. These experiences inform the practical advice, but they are not a controlled test of every network across Europe.

🧭 Read the limits with the price. A €7.50 plan lasting seven days is not a cheaper version of a €15 plan lasting 30 days. A plan called unlimited may provide a daily high-speed allowance, a single allowance for the whole trip, or a carrier fair-use policy without a stated threshold. For a road trip, route coverage and enough usable hotspot data matter more than the headline country count.

Best eSIM for Europe 2026 by Travel Style

How I rank them: this is an editorial order for a general multi-country holiday, based on itinerary fit, usable data, the full-trip cost, activation and renewal rules, and practical features. MobiMatter takes first place through the combination of a low fixed price, published country/network details and first-use activation. Ubigi costs more but offers a well-documented reusable profile. BNESIM is cheaper, with purchase-date activation or scheduling to understand. A phone number, a Balkan stop or intermittent use can put a specialist first for you. Positions are not speed-test results or numerical quality scores. An affiliate relationship does not determine the order.

MobiMatter: strong fixed-data value if the Sparks route fits
35 destinations on the cited Europe Special product · Low-cost fixed data with hotspot on a checked route

MobiMatter is a marketplace, so the plan name matters as much as the brand. For a trip that stays within its map, Sparks Europe Special makes a persuasive fixed-data option: 10 GB for 30 days costs €10, with top-ups and hotspot sharing. The quoted euros are MobiMatter’s own listed prices.

The 35-destination map includes the UK, Switzerland, Turkey and Iceland. It excludes Ukraine, Moldova and the six Western Balkan destinations. If those stops are on your itinerary, inspect Sparks Balkans Special separately: its 40-destination list adds Ukraine, Moldova and five Western Balkan destinations, but still omits Kosovo. Its 10 GB / 30-day price is €13.50.

On Europe Special, the current network list names Vodafone and Iliad in Italy, Sunrise and Salt in Switzerland, and O2, EE and Vodafone in the UK, with 5G shown for those partners. That is useful route detail, not a guarantee of reception or speed at every stop. Other MobiMatter products can use different partners.

This is an especially good option when you want to share a fixed allowance with a laptop. Keep the activation deadline in mind if you book months ahead. Our MobiMatter review explains how the marketplace works.

5 GB30 days€6.50
10 GB30 days€10
20 GB30 days€17.50

Before buying: first data use starts validity, but activation must happen within two months of purchase. Hotspot uses the same fixed quota. This is data only, with no phone number or native calls and SMS. The listed plan is prepaid without auto-renewal. Check the exact product conditions.

Ubigi: A reusable profile for repeat European trips
Europe: 38 destinations · Typical Europe route

For a typical trip across the EU, UK and Switzerland, Ubigi is my choice for a clearly documented reusable profile. Its 10 GB/30-day standard Europe plan costs €15, supports hotspot and works on a reusable eSIM profile. You can buy another plan for a future trip without installing a new profile, and the app supports top-ups even when your Ubigi allowance has run out. This recommendation is based on verified plan conditions, not a claim that I personally tested Ubigi in every destination.

Standard Europe lists 38 destinations, including Switzerland, the UK, Ukraine and Moldova, but not Iceland, Turkey or the Western Balkans outside the EU. That matters more than its low 10 GB price: a traveller visiting Reykjavik, Istanbul or several Balkan capitals needs a different package. The 56-destination Europe Extended version includes Iceland, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo.

The standard 10 GB plan lists Bouygues, Free, Orange and SFR in France; O2 in Germany; Iliad and WindTre in Italy; Salt and Sunrise in Switzerland; and EE and Three in the UK. 4G/5G availability varies by operator, place and device; Moldova and Ukraine are marked without 5G in the current table. Ubigi is a Transatel brand within NTT, but that ownership is not proof of a particular speed on your trip. Read the full Ubigi Review for the wider product comparison.

2 GB/month for 12 months€24 upfrontAllowance refills monthly
5GB/month for 12 months€49 upfrontAllowance refills monthly

Unlimited has a total high-speed allowance. The 7-day plan has 25GB, the 15-day plan 30 GB and the 30-day plan has 60 GB before 2 Mbps for the remaining validity. There is no daily reset. Hotspot consumes that same allowance. Annual 2 GB/month and 5GB/month packages are monthly refills, not freely pooled 24GB or 60 GB. Monthly recurring plans cannot be cancelled until after 3 months.

Extended coverage costs more. Europe Extended lists 1 GB/30 days at €8, 10 GB/7 days at €32, 10 GB/30 days at €35 and 25GB/30 days at €55. Its unlimited 7/15/30-day prices are €49/€59/€77, with 20 GB/30 GB/60 GB total high speed respectively, then 2 Mbps. Choose it for its actual extra destinations, not because the standard Europe name sounds broad enough. Both versions are data-only; internet calling apps use data rather than an included normal phone service.

Buy and Install Your Ubigi eSIM Before You Travel (iPhone Guide)

This guide shows the account and installation steps for Ubigi. Its reusable profile is useful when you expect to recharge for another trip rather than install a different eSIM each time.

Install the profile with a stable connection, but do not confuse installation with starting the paid plan. Smartstart begins the one-off validity on first connection in a covered destination, which can be your home country. An unused one-off plan expires if not activated within six months of purchase. Ubigi also supports compatible Windows 10/11 eSIM laptops; check the exact device before buying.

#3
BNESIM: Low-Cost Fixed Data or GB That Do Not Expire
35 countries, including the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Moldova · Low-cost Europe data and repeat trips with unused GB

BNESIM is worth checking when your route fits its 35-country Europe package. The current one-time offer costs €8.99 for 10 GB over 30 days, with 20 GB for €14.99. No coupon is needed for those displayed prices. A separate 10 GB option costs €10.99 with no expiration, which can make more sense if you expect to use the remaining data on a later trip.

The official Europe roster includes the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Iceland, Ukraine and Moldova. It does not include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia or Serbia. The regional page describes local partner access and 5G readiness, but we have not verified a named carrier for every country. Treat that as a coverage list, not a promise of uninterrupted service or a particular speed.

There is an important timing difference: expiring plans start on purchase by default. Schedule the activation date at checkout if you are buying ahead of departure. You can add more data to the same Europe profile, while automatic renewal is an option to enable, rather than a requirement for the displayed one-time offer. Keep the profile installed, and choose the matching regional product if you later travel outside these 35 countries.

Fixed allowances support hotspot, but the Europe Unlimited plan does not. That unlimited offer is €29 for 10 days and is also subject to BNESIM’s fair-use restrictions, including restrictions on sustained streaming and downloads. We would use the fixed 30-day or non-expiring bundles as the main reason to consider BNESIM, especially when sharing data with a laptop matters.

Data30-day one-time priceNo-expiration priceHotspot

50GB€31.99€39.99Included
100GB€52.99€65.99Included
Unlimited€29 / 10 daysNot applicableDisabled

Choose the expiry mode deliberately: these are native euro prices. The 30-day option starts at purchase unless you schedule activation; the separate No Expiration option keeps unused data for later. Both fixed-data modes support hotspot, while Unlimited does not.

eSIM.net: A UK Number and Calls with a Large Europe Allowance
41 full-allowance destinations plus Switzerland with a 5GB limit · Travellers needing normal calls and texts as well as substantial data

If you want to call a hotel or restaurant without relying on an internet app, eSIM.net deserves a place on the shortlist. EE Europe Travel Plus includes 60 GB for 30 days, a UK +44 number, 50 minutes and 100 texts within its zone, with hotspot included. The current official price we verified is €21. This is an EE-issued travel product that roams on local networks abroad, with 5G where available.

Its practical limitation is Switzerland: only 5GB is available there, and the call and text allowances do not apply. The full allowance covers the 41 destinations named on the product page, including the UK, Turkey and Iceland. Ukraine, Moldova and the six Western Balkan destinations are absent. Install this particular 60 GB eSIM after arrival, because the 30-day clock begins when it is installed and activated.

There are alternatives within the same shop. O2 Europe Travel Plus costs €23 for 35GB across its 48 listed destinations, including Switzerland, with unlimited local calls and calls to UK numbers. It receives texts but does not send ordinary SMS, excludes Turkey and starts on purchase. An extension must be arranged before expiry and does not immediately replenish used data.

Choose the carrier product to match your route, rather than buy on the eSIM.net name alone. For an EE plan, re-enabling the subscription in My eSIM turns on automatic renewal until cancelled. These are useful full-service options, but their activation and renewal rules need closer attention than a simple arrival-activated data bundle. The EE 30GB page has conflicting first-use and installation wording, so follow its detailed instruction to install after arrival. Our eSIM.net review explains the wider range.

Different products, different rules: these are the euro prices selected on the official storefront on 17 October 2026. The detailed EE product roster is 41 destinations plus limited Swiss data. Our existing code ANDRE5 is listed in our review for 5% off; confirm product eligibility and the final total at checkout.

Airalo: Best for wider routes and longer fixed plans
Eurolink: 41 destinations · Broader routes and long validity

I used Airalo in Figueira da Foz on the Portuguese coast, where it gave me a stable 4G connection. That is my experience with Airalo in Portugal, not a test of every network on its regional plan. For a European road trip, the main reason I would pay more for Eurolink is the itinerary: its 41 destinations include the UK, Switzerland, Iceland, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. Kosovo and Moldova are excluded. See my full Airalo Review.

The cheaper EU + UK package covers the 27 EU member states and the UK. It does not include Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Turkey. Its 10 GB/30-day price is €22.50, compared with €28.50 for Eurolink Europe. That difference pays for a wider coverage list, not a guaranteed faster connection.

Eurolink also offers 50 GB for 90 days at €92 and 100 GB for 180 days at €170. Those are useful for an extended stay when you want one fixed allowance without monthly billing. The data lasts until it is used or the validity ends; it is not refilled each month. Carrier availability and 4G/5G access depend on the selected package and destination, so check its network details before paying.

Unlimited / 7 days€25.005GB/day at high speed, then 1 Mbps
Unlimited / 30 days€65.505GB/day at high speed, then 1 Mbps

Unlimited is package specific. Eurolink currently includes 5GB/day before reduction to 1 Mbps; EU + UK includes 3 GB/day before 1 Mbps. The official fair-use policy permits package-specific allowances and resets the daily cycle every 24 hours from activation. Hotspot uses the same allowance without a separate unlimited tethering quota. Both products are data-only. EU + UK fixed 30-day alternatives cost €13 for 5GB, €34 for 20 GB and €45 for 50 GB; its unlimited 7/30-day prices are €22/€53.50.

How Airalo Works Before You Travel to Europe

This walkthrough explains the practical setup: choose the regional package for your route, install it with a stable connection and keep your usual SIM available while selecting Airalo for mobile data.

Check the package activation rule before enabling the line. These Europe offers start when first used on a supported network, which may be your home country or an included stopover. Nomad: Best for larger fixed allowances on a covered route
Europe 35: 35 destinations · Larger fixed-data bundles

I have used Nomad in Portugal, including Lisbon and Porto, and in Dessel, Belgium, where I live. That experience helps me explain the setup, but it does not establish performance in every European destination. For this comparison, the attraction is its larger fixed allowances: Europe 35 currently has 20 GB/30 days for €24.09 and 50 GB/30 days for €31.23 on sale. You can use a fixed allowance unevenly across the trip without a separate daily data quota. See my Nomad eSIM Review.

Check the variant before choosing the sale. Europe 35 includes the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Gibraltar and San Marino. Europe 36 instead lists Turkey, Northern Cyprus and Canary Islands separately, while dropping Gibraltar and San Marino. The lists are not nested. Neither includes Ukraine, Moldova or the six Western Balkan destinations outside the EU. The 36-destination 10 GB/30-day plan also costs €20.52, but its 20 GB price is €40.15.

Operators can change with the variant as well as the country. On the 35-destination 10 GB plan, the listed examples are SFR in France, Vodafone/O2 in Germany, Iliad/WIND Tre/Vodafone in Italy, and Salt/Sunrise in Switzerland. The 36-destination 10 GB plan instead lists Orange/Free in France, Telekom in Germany, Iliad/WIND Tre in Italy and Salt in Switzerland. The 35 plan marks Italy as 5G, while the 36 plan marks it 4G. These are available network capabilities, not a promise of 5G reception everywhere.

Unlimited / 5 days€16.952 GB/day at high speed, then 1 Mbps
Unlimited / 10 days€30.342 GB/day at high speed, then 1 Mbps

Plan rules matter. Europe 35 unlimited resets every 24 hours from activation; no 7-day or 30-day unlimited offer is currently listed. Hotspot is supported from the same allowance, subject to device and network conditions. These are data-only plans. Eligible fixed-plan add-ons activate after the base plan is exhausted or expires and do not carry its leftover data forward. Unlimited plans have no add-ons and are non-refundable under the published policy. Use ANDRE15 only on eligible regular plans: official restrictions exclude sales, unlimited and plans below US$5.

Nomad Pass is separate. It is an optional 35-destination subscription with 1 GB refilled every 30 days, no base-data rollover and 15% off eligible Europe add-ons. It costs €2.68 per 30 days, renews automatically and can be cancelled. Review the cancellation terms on the Pass page before confirming: official pages differ on whether add-on access ends immediately or remains available for a limited period after cancellation. It is not the one-off 1 GB/7-day offer above.

How to Install Nomad eSIM on iPhone (Step-by-Step)

This iPhone guide demonstrates Nomad installation through the app. Use the method offered for your phone and plan; QR and manual installation instructions may also be available.

Install with a stable connection and read the activation instructions. The selected Europe offers start on a supported network or automatically after 60 days. A covered home country or stopover can start the clock before your main trip. Select the Nomad line for data and enable its data roaming when you intend to use it.

GigSky: Wider routes and fixed data that lasts up to 90 days
Europe: 49 destinations · Broad routes with 60/90-day options

GigSky is worth comparing when your trip extends beyond the usual western European circuit. Its current Europe plan covers 49 destinations, including the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. Albania is included too, so the current list covers all six non-EU Western Balkan destinations. The 20 GB and 50 GB options last 60 and 90 days respectively, which can suit a slower journey better than a plan that expires after a month.

The official Europe catalogue currently lists a 100 MB free plan valid for 7 days, with eligibility shown in the app. That is enough for a modest setup check, not a free week of normal travel use. Unlimited plans provide 3.5 GB of daily high-speed data, followed by reduced speed; the current official unlimited FAQ does not specify a single reduced-speed figure. The daily reset is 24 hours after activation, rather than midnight.

Hotspot sharing is supported and uses the same allowance. The service is data only, so use calling apps or your existing line for calls. Keep the eSIM for later trips and check the app for available top-ups. A separate Cruise or Cruise + Land package is needed for a supported ship; ordinary Europe data does not become maritime coverage when the ferry or cruise leaves shore.

These are native euro catalogue prices with the displayed 15% promotion already applied, before any separately eligible promotional code. A Cruise + Land product still needs its own ship and destination check; the ordinary 49-destination Europe plan does not include service at sea. Do not assume an affiliate coupon stacks with the displayed sale. Validity starts on connection to a covered network and cannot be paused. Keep the line off after installation until you are ready to start, including when your home country is covered.

How to Install GigSky on iPhone

This official GigSky video shows how to set up a GigSky plan on an iPhone. It is useful preparation before installing the small trial or a paid Europe package.

Check the current plan’s country list and leave the profile switched off until you want to activate it. If your itinerary includes time at sea, choose the supported ship and the correct Cruise product separately.

Surfroam: Pay-as-you-go data with a choice of balance lifetimes
Country-specific PAYG list includes UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Iceland, Ukraine, Moldova and five WB6; prices vary · Metered travel data, particularly 20GB of ULTRA usage on a route wholly at €0.75/GB

Surfroam is worth comparing when you want to pay for what you use across several countries. Its ULTRA eSIM starts with €15 of prepaid credit. The current ULTRA rate table charges €0.75 per GB in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the UK, Switzerland and Turkey. At that rate, €15 pays for 20GB of usage. This is a metered balance, not a 20GB bundle, and 10GB of usage costing €7.50 does not mean you can buy a €7.50 starter plan.

The clock is the main trade-off: ULTRA credit is valid for 30 days from purchase, not from arrival. Each recharge gives the whole balance a new 30-day window from the recharge date. Country rates also vary. ULTRA lists €1.25 per GB in Iceland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, €1.15 in Serbia, €1.35 in North Macedonia and €0.55 in Ukraine. Albania, Montenegro and Moldova are €0.75 per GB. Kosovo is not listed, so this is not complete Western Balkans coverage.

For trips spread across the year, PLUS offers initial credit from €5 and keeps unused credit valid with an eligible annual top-up. Its rates are higher, including €1.15 per GB in the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The current recharge FAQ specifies a €10 minimum top-up. Do not confuse that with the €5 starting-credit option or assume the PLUS and ULTRA country lists are identical: a Turkey rate was not exposed in the PLUS table we checked.

Both products are data-only, with hotspot support and 1KB billing steps. The published network table lists, for example, Salt and Sunrise in Switzerland and Vodafone and WindTre in Italy. Actual network access and speeds can change. There is no fixed daily unlimited allowance in these metered offers, and the fair-use terms still apply. The eSIM profile can be reused where service remains supported; that does not make expired credit permanent. Install on a compatible unlocked device, enable the required roaming settings and keep background usage in mind because it also spends the balance.

Roamless: a reusable backup with credit that carries into the next trip
Europe FIX: 40 destinations. FLEX has a separate global footprint. · Occasional trips and a pay-as-you-go backup between journeys

Roamless is most interesting when a prepaid bundle would expire between your trips. Its FLEX credit has no expiry for purchased credit, and the same installed profile can serve later journeys. Data is charged by actual use at the rate for each country. That makes it a practical backup for arrival maps, tickets and short visits.

Roamless now calls FLEX “Pay as You Go” and FIX “Data Plan” on its storefront. FLEX and Europe FIX are different purchases. FIX gives you a shared allowance for 30 days across 40 listed destinations. The UK, Switzerland, Turkey and Iceland are included, as are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia. Serbia, Kosovo, Ukraine and Moldova are outside that regional bundle.

Check the country rate before assuming a FIX bundle is cheaper. The current FLEX catalogue lists US$1.95 per GB for Italy, France, Germany, the UK and Switzerland. A trip using exactly 10 GB only in those destinations would therefore use US$19.50 of FLEX credit, less than the US$30.95 Europe FIX bundle. That calculation does not apply to every European country.

Hotspot sharing is supported and draws from your allowance or balance. Networks vary by destination: the Italy page lists Vodafone with 5G and Wind and Iliad with 4G. App calls and messaging are separate from the Europe FIX data bundle, and a dedicated phone number requires its own subscription. See our Roamless review for the distinction.

A separate Europe Unlimited option now offers 3GB of high-speed data per day, then 1Mbps, with each 24-hour period measured from first data use. The current prices include US$3.84 for one day, US$11.43 for three days and US$25.62 for seven days; the selector covers 1 to 90 days. Hotspot shares the same allowance. This is a timed plan, unlike purchased FLEX credit that carries into a later trip.

Watch the fallback: the FIX clock starts with its first KB of use. Outside its map, or after its allowance expires or runs out, available FLEX credit can keep the connection working at separate country rates. Paid FLEX credit does not expire, but a FIX bundle does. Yesim: Flexible 30-Day Data for the UK, Switzerland and Serbia
Europe & UK: 33 destinations · Small and medium 30-day plans

Yesim is worth comparing when your route includes the UK, Switzerland or Serbia and you want a small or medium allowance that lasts the whole month. Its Europe & UK package lists 33 destinations, with 1GB for €2.50, 10GB for €16 and 20GB for €22, each valid for 30 days. Turkey, Ukraine and Moldova are not on this package’s list.

The €0.45 offer is a separate 500MB, one-day introductory plan for first-time customers. It can suit a brief stopover or backup connection, but it is not the ordinary price of a full-trip plan. SwitchLess is Yesim’s automatic network-selection feature. The provider shows partners by country, including Salt and Sunrise in Switzerland and O2, EE, Vodafone and H3G in the UK; actual speed still depends on the network and location.

These are data-only plans with top-ups. The product specifications say ID verification is not required and qualify hotspot availability by the local operator. Install on a compatible, unlocked device and activate within 180 days of purchase. The validity clock starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network, which can happen before departure if your home country is covered.

Unlimited needs a closer check. Yesim’s official policy says partner networks may reduce speed after their own high-speed allowance. It does not publish one Europe-wide GB threshold, slower speed or daily reset time. Yesim adds no extra FUP of its own, but that is not a guarantee of unlimited full-speed data. The site also advertises a discount for two or more eSIMs; do not assume it combines with an affiliate code.

How Yesim Connects Automatically in Europe

This Yesim video gives context for using its eSIM service. Check the current Europe & UK country list and the activation instructions supplied with your purchase, since the video does not replace the terms of your chosen plan.

For a month-long trip with modest data use, compare the fixed allowance first. Choose unlimited only after considering the unspecified partner-network fair-use limits, especially if you need dependable hotspot data for work.

SimOptions: Orange and Bouygues Plans with a French Number
34 fixed / 54 unlimited; operator lists differ · Short breaks or native-number bundles

SimOptions is a marketplace, so the useful question is which product you are buying. Its Europe catalogue combines its own data-only eSIMs with Orange and Bouygues operator packages. Bouygues Travel Basic+ and My European plans, plus Orange Holiday plans, include a French +33 number with calls and SMS. Bouygues Travel Basic 15GB is data-only.

For a 30-day trip that needs native calls, Bouygues My European 30GB costs €30.90, 60GB costs €37.50 and 120GB costs €52.50. The current 46-entry coverage list includes the UK, Switzerland and several territories outside mainland Europe, but excludes Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova and the non-EU Western Balkans. Calls and SMS follow that operator package’s covered-area rules. A French number does not guarantee that your bank will accept it for verification messages.

For data alone, SimOptions’ own 50GB package costs €29.90 for 30 days. Its fixed-data coverage lists 34 destinations, including the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Moldova, but not Iceland. The 10GB price of €7.50 lasts only seven days, and 20GB at €11.90 lasts 15 days. These current own-labelled cards show 4G/LTE and no top-ups. They should not be confused with the operator packages or the separate 54-entry unlimited list.

The current Orange Holiday Europe card offers 50GB for €36.50 over 31 days, with a French +33 number, unlimited calls and SMS within Europe, plus two hours and 1,000 SMS from Europe to the rest of the world. The unused eSIM expires after one year; the 31-day allowance starts on connection in a covered country. It shows 4G/LTE and a 40-entry coverage list including the UK and Switzerland, but not Turkey, Ukraine or Moldova. The previously listed 20GB Zen and 100GB products were not displayed in this catalogue check, so their rows below remain as availability notes rather than current price quotes. Read the operator conditions. Orange supports hotspot and top-ups, but its registration guidance requires identification within 30 days of activation to keep the line and top-up access. Six-month registered-line validity is separate from the 31-day allowance. The Bouygues FAQ permits tethering, says no top-ups are available and explains registration that may require identity details. The Orange 100GB and previously listed O2 Go Card were not found in this Europe catalogue. SimOptions’ own unlimited cards do not publish a numeric high-speed cap, slower speed or reset, so do not assume unlimited full-speed data.

SimOptions: Official Brand Overview

This is a SimOptions brand overview, rather than an installation tutorial for one specific operator plan. It introduces the marketplace; the current product card determines the allowance, phone number, coverage and activation rules.

Follow the instructions for the exact eSIM you buy. Orange’s FAQ advises installing after arrival because connections outside Europe have sometimes started validity early. Do not assume the same advance-installation procedure applies to Orange, Bouygues and SimOptions’ own products. Hotspot is advertised as allowed, but roaming partner networks are not itemized for these individual catalogue products.

aloSIM: fixed data with an optional Hushed app number
35 destinations listed on the current Europe product page · Travelers who value an optional US or Canadian app number alongside data

aloSIM is worth considering if an app-based phone number would help with calls during your trip. On eligible purchases, the Hushed offer adds a US or Canadian number and US$3 in pay-as-you-go call and text credit. You use a separate app over the internet. It is not a European mobile number and does not turn the travel data eSIM into a native voice-and-SMS plan.

The current Europe plan lists 35 destinations, including the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, Iceland, Montenegro and Serbia. Check the map carefully: Poland was absent from the list we checked, as were Ukraine, Moldova and the other four Western Balkan destinations. We would not buy it for an unlisted stop without confirmation from aloSIM.

Fixed plans are easy to compare, and hotspot sharing is supported. LTE or 5G depends on the local partner and coverage. The longer 50 GB and 100 GB packages may suit a lengthy trip, but compare their full price and validity with the alternatives rather than assuming a larger pack is cheaper.

An unlimited option is also listed at €25 for seven days or €70 for 30 days. The Europe fair-use panel states 3GB of high-speed data per day, followed by 1Mbps until the next day. That is the allowance to compare when planning uploads or hotspot use. Our aloSIM review explains the service and the Hushed distinction.

Holafly: Best for flexible trip length and heavy phone data
Europe: 33 destinations · Phone data with flexible duration

I have personally used Holafly in Portugal, Turkey and Thailand. Those experiences remain part of my review, but the standard Europe package does not include Turkey. For a route within its 33 destinations, I would consider Holafly when I want to buy the exact number of travel days and use plenty of data on my phone. My Holafly Review covers the personal experience in more detail.

The Europe plan includes the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Andorra alongside the EU destinations. Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans outside the EU are excluded. Choose between 1 and 90 days rather than assuming a 30-day package is necessary for a short visit. It is data-only, with 4G/LTE and 5G where supported.

Unlimited does not guarantee unlimited speed. Holafly does not publish a fixed daily high-speed threshold for this Europe plan, but its fair-use explanation says temporary network speed reductions can apply and reset the following day. Hotspot is limited to 1 GB/day, so this is a better fit for heavy phone use than for sharing a laptop connection all day.

Standard Europe unlimitedNative EURHotspot
1 day€3.901 GB/day

5 days€18.501 GB/day
7 days€25.501 GB/day

15 days€47.901 GB/day
30 days€70.901 GB/day
60 days€100.901 GB/day
90 days€130.901 GB/day

Eligibility matters for EU residents. Holafly Trip Terms, clause 6.3.4, exclude domestic use and define the whole EU as domestic for customers based in the EU at purchase. They also limit each continuous roaming period in one destination to 90 days. If that describes you, confirm eligibility with Holafly before buying a Trip plan for an EU holiday. This is a published contractual restriction, not a connection block I tested. The separate Plans subscription has its own terms.

Other regions have separate lists and prices. Balkans covers Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, but not Kosovo: 1 day €8.90, 7 days €34.90, 30 days €120.50. Eastern Europe covers Belarus, Moldova and Russia, not Ukraine: 1 day €13.90, 7 days €48.50, 15 days €84.90. Scandinavia covers Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden: 1 day €5.90, 3 days €12.50, 7 days €25.90, 30 days €68.90.

Europe Cruise covers 17 listed port destinations and Mediterranean Cruise covers 9. Both cost €3.90/1 day, €24.50/7 days or €69.90/30 days. They provide land coverage during port calls, not guaranteed internet while sailing. Each allows 1 GB/day hotspot. Always On adds 1 GB of backup data every 30 days across 150+ destinations while the eSIM stays installed; unused backup data does not accumulate.

Monthly global subscriptions are different products. Holafly Plans lists Light 25GB at €45.95/month and Unlimited at €59.95/month, covering 160+ destinations and renewing every 30 days from purchase. Unlimited advertises unlimited hotspot and an available US/UK/Canada number with inbound SMS and VoIP calls; it does not provide traditional incoming cellular calls. Light does not include that number. Do not apply the destination Europe activation or 1 GB/day hotspot rules to these subscriptions.

Install Your Holafly eSIM in Seconds (iPhone App Setup)

This iPhone app walkthrough shows the installation process. Follow the instructions supplied with your particular Holafly product and use a stable connection for the setup.

For the destination Europe plan, the validity begins when the eSIM connects to a supported network and each day lasts 24 hours. Enable its data roaming and select it for mobile data when you want that period to begin. The separately billed global subscriptions start at purchase, so buying those early can use up paid days before departure.

Breeze: Clear Fixed-Data Choices for a Checked Continental Route
Lite: 34 destinations · Continental fixed-data value

Breeze makes most sense when you choose the region before comparing the price. Europe Lite lists 34 destinations, including Switzerland and Moldova, but not the UK or Turkey. Its 10GB/30-day plan costs €14.95 and 20GB/30 days costs €24.95. These are useful fixed allowances for a continental trip whose stops all appear on that exact list.

The separate Europe EU+ package adds the UK, Turkey and Northern Cyprus, but does not include Moldova or Ukraine. It costs more: 10GB/30 days is €25.95 and 20GB/30 days is €35.95. The current named destination list has 36 entries, so compare that exact route with the 34-destination Lite product. Lite and EU+ also have different network partners; neither covers the six non-EU Western Balkan destinations.

For that route, Breeze sells a separate 10-destination Balkans package, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, but not Kosovo. It costs €34.95 for 5GB/30 days or €55.95 for 10GB/30 days. Compare those exact stops and prices with the wider regional alternatives before choosing it.

Breeze’s fixed and day plans are data-only, with hotspot included at no separate charge. Listed 5G access depends on the destination’s network and your device. The bundle starts with first data use in a covered destination, so leave it off at home if your home country is included. See my full Breeze eSIM Review for the setup and plan distinctions.

Essential unlimited means 1GB fast per 24-hour period. After that, Breeze caps downloads at 512kbps until the next period; hotspot uses the same allowance. A fixed-data plan is easier to budget for heavier days. Current English bundle-validity guidance says unused packages expire after six months. New bundles can be added, but some package changes require a new eSIM. Do not confuse profile reuse with carrying unused data past the plan’s own expiry.

Breeze: How to Install an eSIM

Breeze’s installation video introduces the setup process. Confirm your exact device model is compatible and unlocked, then follow the instructions sent with the eSIM.

Install using a stable internet connection and select the Breeze line for travel data at the appropriate time. Essential unlimited slows after 1GB in each 24-hour period; choose a fixed allowance if you expect occasional large uploads or longer hotspot sessions.

Jetpac: Sharing data and keeping essential apps available
Europe: 32 destinations · Arrival tools and travel-app extras

Jetpac makes sense when several people need to share one connection and the entire route fits its current 32-country Europe plan. The UK and Switzerland are included. Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova and the six Western Balkan countries are not on the current product list, so check your route against the Europe purchase page before choosing it for a road trip.

The useful extra is what happens when a fixed allowance runs out. Packs of 3 GB or more retain access to WhatsApp chat, Uber, Grab and Google Maps navigation. That is a limited fallback for essential apps, not general browsing or unlimited video calling. Hotspot has no separate allowance, although everything you share still comes out of your plan. At the prices checked, the 30 GB and 40 GB sale packages cost less than the 20 GB package, so compare the actual basket rather than assuming a smaller allowance costs less.

The eSIM itself is data only. Separate calling packs in the Jetpac app start at US$1.99 for 5 minutes to more than 50 countries; they do not add a local mobile number or SMS. For SmartDelay lounge access, register at least 24 hours before departure. The published rules allow up to two flights per purchased pack and one companion, with a qualifying delay of at least one hour and lounge availability conditions.

Unlimited is 3 GB at normal network speed per 24 hours, then up to 1 Mbps until the next cycle. An unused pack remains available for three months after purchase. Promotions can change and coupon stacking has not been confirmed. These amounts were selected in euros on the official storefront. If comparing a different currency, check the ECB reference exchange-rate page. No estimated euro conversion is used in this table; card fees and checkout currency can still affect the total.

How to Set Up a Jetpac eSIM

Jetpac Global’s own video demonstrates eSIM setup. Follow the current app instructions for your phone, and keep the profile installed for future packs.

Install with a reliable internet connection, then keep the line off until you want the plan to begin in a covered country. That could be your home country or an airport stopover, so arrival in your final destination is not always the first possible activation point.

Saily: Browsing controls and a straightforward 35-country plan
Europe: 35 destinations · Built-in browsing controls

Saily’s regular Europe plan combines mobile data with an ad blocker, web protection and virtual location settings. Those controls may be useful if you want to manage browsing inside the same app as your travel data. They do not turn the plan into a full NordVPN subscription. The current regional product covers 35 countries, including the UK, Switzerland and Turkey.

Its Unlimited option now shows 5 GB per day without a speed limit, followed by up to 1 Mbps, including the 7-day and 30-day selections checked. The current selected durations share that same 5GB daily allowance; it resets after each 24-hour period. Hotspot has no separate sharing cap, but still uses the same plan data. The 50 GB fixed option lasts 90 days; the smaller plans have shorter validity, so choose the period as carefully as the allowance.

The Europe package excludes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova. For a route through any of them, check another specific product rather than assuming every plan labelled Europe will work. Saily also warns that access to its app may be limited in Turkey, so complete setup before you travel there. This regional plan is data only, with calls and messages through apps rather than an included local number.

Simbye: Orange fixed-data plans with a French phone number
Shared product page advertises 45+ but exposes 38 named destinations; check exact selected SKU · Orange fixed bundles when a real French number and native calls matter

Simbye has a different appeal from a low-cost data-only eSIM: its Orange Europe fixed-data plans include a French +33 number and unlimited calls and SMS within Europe. The current choices are 20GB for €28.95, 50GB for €42.95 and 100GB for €47.95, all valid for 30 days. The 20GB option includes 30 minutes of global calls; the two larger options list 120 minutes. Check the permitted destinations before making international calls.

There is a coverage detail to check before paying. The page advertises 45+ destinations, but its published country list names 38, including the UK, Switzerland and Iceland. Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova and the six non-EU Western Balkan destinations are not named; Bulgaria and Slovenia are also absent from that exposed list. Use the actual itinerary list, not the headline count. The page names partners such as Vodafone and Wind in Italy, and Sunrise, Salt and Swisscom in Switzerland. These are provider-listed partners, not a guarantee of 5G at every stop.

Hotspot is allowed. The product page says validity begins on the first connection at the destination; the general FAQ gives a 180-day activation window. Follow the delivered operator instructions, including any line-registration requirement. Top-ups are available through the account, but confirm the allowance and validity of the particular top-up before buying it.

The two unlimited options are a separate plan family: 7 days for €23.95 or 15 days for €42.95, with 2GB of high-speed data per day, then 1Mbps. The FAQ describes a 24-hour reset cycle without specifying a clock time. The public page does not clearly separate their coverage and calling benefits from the Orange fixed-data offers. Confirm those details for the selected unlimited plan instead of assuming the +33 number, calls and full Orange itinerary are included.

Best fit: a 30-day trip where native phone calls matter as much as data. For data alone, compare cheaper fixed bundles first. No personal Simbye discount code is verified. Prices and conditions checked 17 October 2026 on the English EUR product page.

Maya Mobile: Global coverage with optional automatic renewal
165+ worldwide, not European destinations · Europe plus another continent

Maya now presents its Global plan covering 165+ countries on the Europe page. It can be useful when a European route continues into the Balkans or onto another continent. The current coverage list includes the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, all six Western Balkan countries, Ukraine and Moldova. This is a worldwide product with European coverage, rather than a separate European fixed-data catalogue.

There are four durations, from 3 to 30 consecutive days, and you can keep the same eSIM installed. Auto Top-Up is optional and off by default. If enabled, it buys the same plan again after the current period expires. That can be convenient during a longer trip, but switch it off when you no longer want the next purchase. Turning off the eSIM does not establish that an already paid period is paused.

The important limitation is in the current terms: unlimited data has a daily high-speed allowance, reduced speed afterward and a reset every 24 hours. Neither the allowance nor the reduced speed is quantified. I would therefore compare Maya for its price and route coverage, not promise uninterrupted full-speed work. Hotspot is included for personal travel, subject to its acceptable-use policy; permanent broadband replacement, commercial hotspot resale and sustained unattended transfers are restricted.

Confirm the new product’s activation trigger in the app before purchase; the public Europe page does not clearly distinguish installation from the start of validity. The prices above remain in their official US-dollar billing currency. For a separate currency comparison, consult the ECB reference exchange-rate page. No estimated euro tariff is presented; the checkout currency and card fees determine your final payment.

Maya Mobile: Official Brand Video

This is Maya Mobile’s promotional video introducing its reusable travel eSIM. It is a brand advertisement, not a technical installation tutorial or evidence of a connection test in Europe.

Use the current Maya app instructions for installation. Before activating a paid period, check its start time and whether Auto Top-Up is enabled, and keep cruise coverage separate from the land plan.

Airhub: Low-Cost Bundles, with Plan-by-Plan Coverage Checks
20 GB product lists 32 destinations; its headline count says 34 · Budget data if the exact product roster covers every stop

Airhub has an inexpensive option for travellers whose route fits the Europe 20 GB plan: €14.57 for 30 days, with hotspot and top-ups supported. Its validity starts when it first connects to a supported network. This is a data-only product, so ordinary calls and texts continue to use your home line unless you choose a separate voice-enabled offer.

The country list needs more attention than the headline or flag panel. This specific 20 GB package names the UK, Switzerland, Turkey and Iceland, but does not list Poland, Ukraine, Moldova or any of the six Western Balkan destinations. The written package list contains 32 entries, while the separate flag panel contains 34 and includes different destinations, such as Moldova and North Macedonia. We use the written package list here; the conflicting panel is a reason to confirm the route directly. Confirm any uncertain stop with Airhub before paying. The generic claim about 131 destinations elsewhere on the page should not be treated as this plan’s coverage.

Larger allowances are different products. The 50GB option starts on purchase and omits Switzerland and Turkey from its written list. The current 300GB option instead starts on first network connection and names Switzerland and Turkey in the same 32-entry written list as the 20GB package. Airhub also sells a daily unlimited option for 1 to 30 days. Its current product details do not quantify the daily high-speed allowance or reduced speed, so confirm those limits before choosing it for heavy use. We would choose Airhub for a clearly verified route and price, rather than assume every Europe listing behaves alike.

For remote work or family sharing, compare the allowance you can actually use at normal speed. A fixed 50GB bundle can be more useful for a few large upload days than an unlimited plan with a small daily limit. Conversely, a daily allowance can work well when usage is steady throughout the trip.

Comparison rules: the table separates fixed 10GB bundles from seven-day unlimited products. “No matching product verified” does not mean a provider has no other useful offer. Surfroam prices are metered consumption against a prepaid balance, not a purchasable 10GB bundle. Native USD remains visible where the provider lists US-dollar prices, and an already discounted plan must not receive another assumed coupon reduction. Always compare the full trip and the exact country list.

Selected unlimited products, not the overall ranking. Ubigi’s quota covers the whole plan; the other table examples use daily allowances. Breeze refers to the Essential product.

Which Europe eSIM Covers the Balkans, Turkey and Non-EU Countries?

Europe eSIM coverage comparison for Turkey and selected non-EU Balkan destinations.
Country lists differ by product. In particular, Airalo Eurolink excludes Kosovo, GigSky Europe includes Albania, and Jetpac Europe excludes the non-EU Western Balkans.

“Europe” is a product name, not a standard coverage zone. These are the current lists for specific packages. The Western Balkans here means Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. A listed destination means the package can be used on its supported networks, not that every mountain road, tunnel or building has reception.

Separate regional products can change these answers. Holafly Balkans and Breeze Balkans include five of the six non-EU Western Balkan destinations, excluding Kosovo. Holafly Eastern Europe lists Belarus, Moldova and Russia, not Ukraine. Always reopen the exact country list before paying.

✅ For a Balkan route: Airalo Eurolink includes Albania but not Kosovo. GigSky Europe now includes both Kosovo and Albania. Ubigi Extended includes both, at a higher price than standard Ubigi Europe. Maya Global and SimOptions’ own unlimited product also list all six, but their current unlimited terms do not quantify the fast-data allowance. Jetpac’s current Europe product does not cover this region. Other options: MobiMatter’s separate Sparks Balkans Special and Surfroam ULTRA list five of the six, excluding Kosovo. Roamless Europe FIX includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia, but excludes Serbia and Kosovo. These are different products from Sparks Europe Special and from a provider’s individual-country plans.

✅ For Turkey: compare MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special, BNESIM Europe, eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus, Roamless Europe FIX, Surfroam ULTRA, Airalo Eurolink, Nomad Europe 36, GigSky Europe, Saily Europe, Breeze EU+, Ubigi Extended, Maya Global or an appropriate SimOptions product. Airhub’s cited 20GB plan also lists Turkey, but its 50GB plan does not. Do not transfer coverage across product names. See Best eSIM for Turkey 2026.

Best eSIM for Europe 2026 by Trip Length

Trip duration changes the price, but the best eSIM for road trips still needs enough country coverage for the complete itinerary, including any non-EU border crossings.

One week: SimOptions’ own 10GB / 7-day package costs €7.50. BNESIM’s 10GB / 30-day package at €8.99 and MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special at €10 may also fit a short trip, while leaving more validity if plans change. Ubigi’s 10GB / 7-day package is €12. Check the different country lists and activation triggers before choosing the lowest total.

Two weeks: SimOptions’ own 20GB / 15-day package is €11.90, with its 34-destination list and 4G/LTE specification. BNESIM offers 20GB / 30 days at €14.99, MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special at €17.50, Yesim at €22 and Nomad Europe 35 at €24.09 on sale. For unlimited phone use, compare Airalo Eurolink’s €45 / 15 days and Holafly’s €47.90 / 15 days with their fair-use and hotspot conditions.

Thirty days: for a smaller allowance, compare BNESIM 10GB at €8.99, Sparks Europe Special 10GB at €10 and Ubigi 10GB at €15. Larger choices include eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus 60GB at €21, SimOptions own 50GB at €29.90, Nomad Europe 35 50GB at €31.23 on sale and BNESIM 50GB at €31.99. eSIM.net has a separate 5GB limit in Switzerland; the others have different country lists. Surfroam ULTRA’s €15 starting balance funds 20GB only where all usage is billed at €0.75/GB, within 30 days from purchase.

Two to six months: GigSky offers 50GB / 90 days for €50.99, while Saily offers 50GB / 90 days for €85.49. Airalo Eurolink offers 50GB / 90 days for €92 and 100GB / 180 days for €170, with a different destination list. Ubigi’s €24 annual product refills 2GB each month; it is not 24GB available at once. Its monthly subscriptions have a three-month cancellation condition. Maya Auto Top-Up is optional, renews the same consecutive-day package and should be checked before enabling. For repeated short visits, compare BNESIM’s no-expiration regional data, Roamless FLEX credit and Surfroam PLUS with its annual top-up requirement. These work differently from a fixed 90-day allowance. MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special also offers 50GB for 60 days at €37.50.

Best eSIM for Europe 2026: Travel Tips

Europe eSIM timing examples: BNESIM and Surfroam purchase clocks, eSIM.net installation, and MobiMatter Sparks first use.
The start trigger is product specific. Read the exact instructions before buying or installing an eSIM.

Choose by route, not only by data allowance. The best eSIM for road trips should cover every country on the itinerary and keep navigation, messaging and hotspot access working after each border crossing.

Separate installation from activation. MobiMatter Sparks starts on first use in a covered destination, with a two-month activation window. BNESIM’s expiring plans start at purchase unless scheduled; Surfroam ULTRA runs for 30 days from purchase. eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus says to install after arrival because installation starts its validity. Follow the exact product’s instructions rather than one rule for every brand. See How to Activate an eSIM.

Protect your home line from roaming charges. Set the travel eSIM as the mobile-data line, disable data roaming on your home SIM and turn off automatic mobile-data switching if your phone offers it. Keeping your regular number active can help with messages, but calls, voicemail and texts still follow your home operator’s tariff. Check those charges separately.

Use coupons only where eligible. Nomad’s €24.09 / 20GB and €31.23 / 50GB are Europe 35 sale prices. Its promotion policy excludes already discounted plans and other categories, so the ANDRE15 code is not an extra 15% off those quoted sale amounts. Compare the actual checkout total across providers.

Read the unlimited rule before deciding. Airalo Eurolink and Saily currently provide 5GB fast per day, GigSky 3.5GB, Jetpac, Roamless and aloSIM 3GB, Nomad 2GB and Breeze Essential 1GB. Ubigi uses a whole-plan fast-data allowance instead. Holafly, Yesim, Maya and SimOptions have conditions that cannot be reduced to one verified Europe-wide daily number from the checked sources.

Long validity is different from auto-renewal. A 90-day bundle keeps its remaining data available until that validity ends. A monthly refill or renewed 30-day package can expire or replace data on a different schedule. Read the refill, rollover and cancellation terms before buying for a semester.

Sharing data still consumes data. Jetpac’s eligible app-access benefit can help after a fixed pack runs out, but it does not keep every website, video call or laptop application running without limits. Check hotspot permission and fast-data allowance together. See Best eSIM for Couples in Europe.

Check the awkward border first. If your route includes both Albania and Kosovo, GigSky Europe now lists both, while Airalo Eurolink excludes Kosovo. Check each stop on the exact product list rather than relying on the regional name or headline count. See Best eSIM for the Balkans 2026.

A phone number is a separate feature. eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus includes a +44 number, 50 minutes and 100 texts under its product rules, with no calls or texts in Switzerland. Simbye’s Orange fixed-data bundles and selected Bouygues/Orange products through SimOptions include a French number. aloSIM’s Hushed number and Roamless in-app calling work through apps, rather than turning every data plan into a normal phone line. Registration, permitted destinations and bank acceptance differ; no travel SIM guarantees bank verification.

Check compatibility and keep a fallback. Your device must support eSIM and be unlocked for the service you buy. Save installation instructions, support details and offline maps before departure. Yesim’s €0.45 / 500MB one-day introductory offer and GigSky’s eligible 100MB trial can help check setup, but neither is evidence of full-trip performance.

🌍 Your home plan may already be enough. Eligible EU/EEA roaming plans extend “Roam Like at Home” to Moldova and Ukraine from 1 January 2026, subject to the operator’s terms and fair-use allowance. UK, Switzerland, Turkey and maritime networks are not automatically included. This rule does not set a commercial travel eSIM’s country list. Read the official Your Europe roaming guidance and your home operator’s plan before buying another package.

FAQ: Best eSIM for Europe 2026

What is the best eSIM for Europe 2026?
For a general multi-country trip, my first pick is MobiMatter’s Sparks Europe Special at €10 for 10GB over 30 days. It includes the UK, Switzerland, Iceland and Turkey, but not the six non-EU Western Balkan destinations, Ukraine or Moldova. Ubigi is a strong reusable-profile alternative, while BNESIM offers 10GB for €8.99 over 30 days with purchase-date activation or scheduling. A route needing a native phone number or different Balkan coverage can change the choice. Checked 17 October 2026.
Which Europe eSIM covers the Balkans?
Ubigi Europe Extended and Maya Global list all six non-EU Western Balkan destinations, as does SimOptions’ own unlimited product. Airalo Eurolink, MobiMatter Sparks Balkans Special and Surfroam ULTRA exclude Kosovo. GigSky Europe now lists all six Western Balkan destinations. Roamless Europe FIX includes four of the six, excluding Serbia and Kosovo. Sparks Europe Special is a different MobiMatter product and includes none of the six. Check the exact package, not the brand name. Checked 17 October 2026.
Which Europe eSIM covers Turkey?
Turkey is listed in MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special, BNESIM Europe, eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus, Roamless Europe FIX, Surfroam ULTRA, Airalo Eurolink, Nomad Europe 36, GigSky Europe, Saily Europe, Breeze EU+, Ubigi Extended, Maya Global and appropriate SimOptions products. Nomad Europe 35, Breeze Lite, standard Ubigi Europe and Holafly Europe exclude it. Airhub’s selected 20GB plan includes Turkey while its 50GB plan does not. Checked 17 October 2026.
Which Europe eSIM includes Switzerland?
Check the exact package and any separate allowance. MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special, BNESIM Europe, Ubigi Europe and Airalo Eurolink include Switzerland, while Airalo EU+UK does not. eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus allows only 5GB in Switzerland, with no calls or texts there. Surfroam ULTRA meters Swiss usage at €0.75/GB. An included-country label does not prove that the full headline allowance applies there. Checked 17 October 2026.
What is the cheapest eSIM for Europe in 2026?
Among the comparable fixed 10GB/30-day Europe products verified here, BNESIM is €8.99, MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special €10 and Ubigi €15. Their coverage and activation rules differ. SimOptions’ €7.50 10GB plan lasts only seven days. Surfroam ULTRA’s €7.50 cost for 10GB at a €0.75/GB destination is a usage calculation, not a €7.50 purchasable bundle: its minimum starting balance is €15. These are dated plan comparisons, not a claim of the lowest price in the entire market. Checked 17 October 2026.
Does my Europe eSIM include the UK?
Many do, but not all. Breeze Europe Lite excludes the UK, while Breeze EU+ includes it. The UK is listed in the main Ubigi, Airalo, Nomad, GigSky, Holafly, Yesim, Jetpac, Saily, Maya and SimOptions products discussed here. Brexit does not by itself determine a travel eSIM’s commercial coverage. Checked 17 October 2026.
Is unlimited data worth it in Europe?
It depends on your daily use and the plan’s slower-speed rules. Airalo Eurolink and Saily have 5GB fast per day, GigSky 3.5GB, Jetpac, Roamless and aloSIM 3GB, Nomad 2GB and Breeze Essential 1GB. Ubigi applies a total fast-data quota across the plan. Unlimited can suit steady daily use, but a larger fixed bundle may be better for uneven laptop uploads. Holafly and other providers with unquantified fair-use thresholds are not guaranteed unlimited full-speed connections. Checked 17 October 2026.
Which eSIM has the best hotspot for sharing?
MobiMatter Sparks, BNESIM fixed-data plans, Ubigi, Nomad and several other listed plans allow hotspot using the same data balance. Surfroam PLUS and ULTRA also allow tethering, which consumes paid credit. BNESIM Unlimited disables hotspot, Holafly Europe limits it to 1GB/day, and Yesim qualifies support by operator. Check both tethering permission and the amount available at normal speed; the word unlimited alone is insufficient. Checked 17 October 2026.
What is the best eSIM for a long stay in Europe?
For a continuous stay, compare long-validity bundles such as MobiMatter Sparks Europe Special 50GB/60 days at €37.50, GigSky 50GB/90 days at €50.99 and Airalo Eurolink 100GB/180 days at €170. For intermittent visits, BNESIM’s no-expiration data and Roamless FLEX credit can avoid wasting a fixed time window. Surfroam PLUS needs an eligible annual top-up to keep unused credit active. Recurring plans have different cancellation and refill terms; for residence, compare a local mobile plan too. Checked 17 October 2026.
Are these Europe eSIM prices native euros or currency conversions?
Native euro prices are used wherever verified, including the current Jetpac, aloSIM, Airhub and eSIM.net selectors. Maya and Roamless examples remain in their official US-dollar currency. We do not calculate estimated euro tariffs for them. Check the selected checkout currency and any card fees before paying. Checked 17 October 2026.
Can I keep unused Europe eSIM data for another trip?
BNESIM sells a separate No Expiration regional allowance, while Roamless FLEX uses paid credit without an expiry date. They are different from BNESIM’s 30-day plans and Roamless FIX bundles. Surfroam PLUS requires an eligible annual top-up to maintain unused balance; ULTRA has a 30-day purchase-based window. Keep the reusable profile installed and check the product rules. Checked 17 October 2026.
Which Europe eSIM includes calls and a normal phone number?
eSIM.net EE Europe Travel Plus includes a +44 number with its stated 50 minutes and 100 texts, except in Switzerland. Simbye Orange fixed-data plans and selected operator products sold by SimOptions provide a French +33 number. aloSIM’s optional Hushed number works in a separate app; Roamless calls are also app-based. None of these features guarantees a bank will accept the number for verification. Checked 17 October 2026.
Is one Europe eSIM guaranteed to use the best network everywhere?
No. The selected product determines the permitted roaming partners, and the connection also depends on local coverage, congestion, device compatibility and indoor conditions. A country list, 5G label or large provider count is not a speed test. Check the named operators for the exact package and keep offline maps and a backup when a connection is essential. Checked 17 October 2026.

Final Verdict: Best eSIM for Europe 2026

Illustrated Europe eSIM final verdict: MobiMatter for matching fixed-data routes, Ubigi for repeat trips, and BNESIM for low-cost or no-expiration options.
Match the plan to the trip: the leading fixed-data choices and the specialist alternatives solve different needs.

For most first-time multi-country holidays, I would begin with MobiMatter’s Sparks Europe Special. Its €10 / 10GB / 30-day plan combines a useful fixed allowance, first-use activation and a published list that includes the UK, Switzerland, Iceland and Turkey. The recommendation is for that exact product. If your itinerary includes Albania, Kosovo, Ukraine or Moldova, its standard Europe Special list does not cover the full trip.

Ubigi and BNESIM are close alternatives for different priorities. Ubigi’s €15 / 10GB plan costs €5 more and makes sense if you value its documented reusable-profile and top-up flow, provided you do not need Iceland or Turkey on the standard plan. BNESIM is cheaper at €8.99 and adds a €10.99 no-expiration option; understand its purchase-date clock or schedule activation. For substantial data plus native calls, eSIM.net’s 60GB EE Europe Travel Plus deserves a serious look, especially if Switzerland is not your main stop. Airalo remains useful for broader regional routes, Nomad for large fixed allowances on a matching route, and GigSky for its particular coverage and longer-validity bundles.

Choose a specialist when your use is different. Surfroam ULTRA can be excellent for a metered route where the rate is €0.75/GB, but buy it close to departure. Roamless FLEX is useful when you want paid credit available across occasional trips. SimOptions and Simbye have native-number options; aloSIM’s Hushed feature suits app-based calling. Holafly, Saily, Jetpac, Breeze, Yesim, Maya and Airhub each answer other needs covered in their individual sections. A lower general position is not a reason to reject a plan that fits your particular trip better.
