Our story
From São Paulo to Europe with a dream and a new beginning
We left Brazil looking for a different future in Europe. What started as a simple decision to study English and create new opportunities gradually became something much bigger.
Along the way, we lived in different countries, adapted to new cultures, and discovered the challenges that come with building a life abroad.
During that journey, we also found ourselves relying on eSIMs, travel tools, money apps, insurance, and digital resources almost every day.
Those experiences eventually became Andre On Digital. Andre On Digital Europe travel resources started from our own experience living across different countries in Europe.

The real path behind Andre On Digital
In July 2022, Nicoli and I boarded a flight from Brazil to Ireland carrying little more than a dream and a lot of uncertainty about what would come next.
We both moved to Europe as students with the goal of improving our English and creating new opportunities for our future. Nicoli’s Portuguese citizenship made many practical aspects of life in Europe easier, but like many people starting over abroad, we were still beginning a completely new chapter from scratch.
Our first years in Ireland were focused on adapting, learning, and working hard. I started working in a restaurant kitchen as a kitchen porter, while both of us later worked together at McDonald’s, where I eventually became a manager. Those years gave us financial stability, improved our English, and taught us how to adapt to a completely different life and culture.
Ireland became much more than our first destination in Europe. It became the place where we learned resilience and started seeing new possibilities for our future.

The trip that changed everything
In 2024, we traveled through Turkey and Thailand, and during that trip we had our first real experience using eSIM technology.
Until then, staying connected while traveling often felt more complicated than it should be.
Portugal gave us space to build seriously
Eventually, we decided to move to Portugal. Portugal gave us something we hadn’t had in years: space to slow down, think, and start building something of our own. Besides wanting a different lifestyle, Portugal also offered a better balance in terms of cost of living and gave us the opportunity to focus more seriously on building our own project and working remotely.
Portugal became the place where Andre On Digital started turning from an idea into something real.
Travel showed us what people really need abroad
By that point, we had already been using digital tools such as Wise since leaving Brazil, along with travel insurance and other services that made life abroad easier.
But that trip made us realize how confusing many travel and digital services still felt for everyday travelers.
