Saily gives you several ways to buy travel data, and the differences matter more than the starting price. A short Europe plan, a year-long Global allowance and an Ultra subscription solve different problems. The phone number is another separate purchase unless you choose Ultra Premium.
For this update, I checked the live plan selectors and Saily’s help pages. The biggest changes are in Ultra: Standard now includes 10GB, while both Plus and Premium continue at reduced speed after 30GB. The US number now costs $1.99 a month. This is a researched review of the current offer, not a claim that I personally speed-tested Saily on every route. My recommendations below weigh the total price, useful data, country list and the extras you would actually use.

What Is Saily eSIM?
Saily is a travel eSIM service from Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN, NordPass and NordLocker. Its first data plans launched in March 2024. It now sells plans for more than 200 destinations, but that catalog-wide number is different from the 121 destinations in the Global package. Saily’s company timeline explains its launch and expansion.
You can buy a country plan for one stop, a regional package for a route, or Global data for trips across continents. Ordinary plans provide data. Calls and SMS require a suitable phone-number package. Ultra is a separate recurring Global subscription, rather than an upgrade that automatically turns any country plan into unlimited data.
How Does the Saily eSIM App Work?
The app lets you buy a plan, install the eSIM, see remaining data and add another package for a future trip. You can reuse the installed profile for supported plans. Set it up while you have reliable internet and check that your phone is unlocked and eSIM compatible.
The main advantage is that the setup can be completed on Wi-Fi before departure. Once the eSIM is installed, a regular plan starts when it reaches a supported network at the destination, or automatically 180 days after purchase, so check the activation deadline as well as your flight date.

Hotspot sharing is permitted and uses the same allowance. Before choosing the largest package, check the countries you will actually visit and whether a regional or country plan costs less. Optional travel perks should only enter your calculation if the checkout explicitly includes them.
Saily Europe Pricing: 35 Countries
The Europe package includes all 27 EU members plus the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, San Marino and Turkey. It is a useful route list, but it is not all of geographic Europe. Check additions such as a Balkan side trip separately.

What the Ultra tiers include
- 121 destinations, priority support and 8% back in Saily credits on eligible purchases while subscribed

- Lounge and fast-track benefits at participating airports, with quantities depending on billing cycle
- A delayed-flight lounge benefit after a qualifying delay of at least two hours, subject to verification and availability
Saily’s Ultra FAQ lists one lounge pass and one fast-track pass per month on monthly billing, three of each per quarter, and eight of each per year on yearly billing. That annual allowance is not twelve passes. Check the airport list and redemption rules before treating a pass as a saving.
For data alone, Plus is the first Ultra tier with continuation. Premium is worth the extra $10 on monthly billing only if its phone-number bundle fits your needs. Compare an occasional trip’s country or regional plan before committing to a subscription.
Saily Phone Number: Costs and Limitations
Saily sells a separate US +1 number for $1.99/month. It is a recurring number subscription, not a free local number included in every data plan. You must complete identity verification in the app, then choose a suitable call and SMS package if needed.

The cancellation guide says the number remains reserved for 30 days after its plan ends. After that it can be released and become unrecoverable. Do not leave important account recovery tied to a number you plan to stop paying for.
Saily Security Features: What Is Included
Regular Saily plans include three settings: an ad blocker, web protection and virtual location. They are useful extras, especially if you would otherwise have no filtering, but the labels need a little explanation.

Saily reports up to 28.6% less data use and describes a West Coast Labs test across 22 websites. That is a specific browsing test, not extra GB credited to your allowance. Streaming, downloads and the sites you visit can produce a different result. I would choose a data allowance that works without counting that advertised saving.

The business page now emphasizes self-service signup and team management. It does not show a universal company price table. Compare the actual plans your employees need and the volume offer available to your business; the 200+ destination catalog is not one plan that includes every destination.

Yes. The official Student Beans landing page advertises 15% off your first Saily data plan. Check the offer’s eligibility rules before choosing your package.

Read Saily’s refund policy for the conditions. If a connection fails, record the date, destination and troubleshooting steps and contact support while the problem is happening. Do not assume the data-plan refund rules automatically apply identically to every subscription or separate travel benefit.
Coverage and Speed
Saily’s Europe and Global pages list 3G, 4G, LTE and 5G depending on local availability. They do not identify a partner carrier for every destination. For a route where reception matters, ask support about the selected plan and use local coverage maps to assess the places you will visit.
A good purchase decision starts with the places you will actually use the connection: the hotel, a train journey, a rural drive or a remote work location. App and User Experience
Use a stable internet connection for the first installation. Regular plans activate on connection in a covered destination, or automatically 180 days after purchase if still unused. That is separate from the package’s 7, 30 or 365 days of usable validity. Ultra starts at purchase instead.
Turn on the Saily line, select it for mobile data and enable roaming on that line. Keep data roaming off on your home line unless you intend to pay your home carrier’s roaming charges. Automatic data switching can also move usage onto the wrong line, so check that setting before departure.

How to Install Saily eSIM on Android

After installation, check that data roaming is enabled for the Saily line as instructed by Saily. If your phone has dual SIM support, you can normally keep your regular SIM active while Saily handles travel data.

For a useful price comparison, the table matches 10GB over 30 days in EUR. It also names the package. Airalo’s Europe and EU+UK offers have different coverage and daily limits, so a generic “Airalo Europe price” can be misleading.

Families sharing one hotspot should add up everyone’s usage. Saily’s ad blocker does not turn a 10GB purchase into a guaranteed 12GB or 13GB plan. Large backups, streaming and app updates still need a realistic allowance.

Final Verdict: Is Saily Worth It?
I would put Saily on the shortlist for a traveler who wants useful security settings alongside an easy-to-manage data plan. I would not pay extra simply because it comes from the company behind NordVPN. The route, allowance and total price still have to work.
For a week in Europe, the €23.99 unlimited package is a clear offer to assess: 35 listed countries, 5GB/day before up to 1Mbps, and hotspot sharing from the same allowance. If you expect only a few GB across the whole trip, compare smaller packages first. For a month with 10GB, Nomad’s checked €20.46 price is lower than Saily’s €31.99. The security features may justify the difference for you, but they do not erase it.
Global and Ultra suit different habits. Global 20GB/365 days gives occasional trips a shared pool without a monthly bill. Ultra Plus gives frequent travelers 30GB each month and reduced-speed continuation, with bundled benefits. I would only choose Premium if the US number and included minutes/texts are useful enough to justify its higher price, and only choose annual billing after checking the smaller annual airport-pass allowance.
The two things I would settle before paying are the route and the phone-number expectations. Ask about local networks when coverage is critical. If the US number is for account verification, keep a backup method because a genuine number can still be rejected as VoIP by a service. Those checks matter more than a broad coverage headline or a discount badge.
