For an Armenia trip, I would start with the route and the amount of data you actually use. A few days in Yerevan and a fortnight driving to monasteries call for different preparations, even when the same eSIM can cover both.
Nomad’s 10GB plan is my first choice among the five providers below: it costs €24.02 for 30 days and lists Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom. That is useful flexibility, but it does not prove better reception on every road. For Lake Sevan, Dilijan, Tatev, Noravank or the Debed Canyon, check the operator maps and save your route offline before setting off.
Holafly suits travelers who prefer unlimited phone data, Airalo offers a familiar app and several validity periods, Saily adds optional security tools, and Jetpac is now a much more competitive fixed-data option. Its 5GB/30-day pack costs €16, less than Nomad’s equivalent. Continuing beyond Armenia? See Georgia · Jordan · International Travel.

Compare the network list for the exact package you are buying. A provider’s general coverage statement is less useful than the plan details, and 5G still depends on your phone, location and roaming access.
⚡ Armenia eSIM: Quick Answer
🥇 My 10GB pick: Nomad, €24.02/30 days; Telecom Armenia + Viva + Ucom listed.
🥈 Unlimited phone data: Holafly, €36.90/7 days, with fair-use rules and 1GB/day hotspot.
🥉 Familiar app: Airalo, €36/10GB/30 days on MTS-Vivacell.
🔒 Security tools: Saily, €22.99/5GB/30 days; web protection and ad blocker, not a VPN.
🎁 Smaller pack value: Jetpac, €16/5GB/30 days; eligible essential apps still need signal.
🚫 Check your existing roaming allowance first.

How to Install Your Armenia eSIM (Before You Land)
Install the eSIM while you have a reliable internet connection, ideally before flying to Zvartnots International Airport (EVN). That gives you time to fix an installation problem before you need directions or a taxi. Installation and activation are separate steps, and the precise instructions depend on the provider and your phone.
At the destination, choose the travel eSIM as the mobile-data line and follow its roaming instructions. Disable your home SIM’s mobile data and automatic data switching. You can keep your usual number available for bank messages, but check your carrier’s call and SMS roaming terms. The fixed-data packs below do not include an Armenian number; Saily sells a separate US-number service. Full guide: How to Activate an eSIM. Connection trouble? eSIM Not Working? Fix It Here.
Armenia eSIM Prices: Selected Plans in EUR, 21 October 2026
How to compare: the fixed plans below have different allowances and validity periods. Holafly monthly plans are separate global subscriptions, not an extension of its Armenia destination pack. These are the providers’ own displayed EUR prices before coupons; Armenia’s local currency is the dram (AMD).
Nomad: three listed networks and a competitive 10GB plan
| Plan (fixed data; check plan details) | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 5GB / 30d | €21.35 | City break |
| 10GB / 30d | €24.02 ⭐ | Lowest selected 10GB price |
| 20GB / 30d | €32.91 | Heavy use |
| 50GB / 30d | €45.36 | Long stay / nomad |
At €24.02 for 10GB/30 days, Nomad has the lowest 10GB/30-day price among these four fixed-data options checked today. The exact 10GB details list Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom, 4G/5G where available, hotspot support and taxes included. That comparison is limited to these selected products, not every eSIM sold for Armenia. Sources: Nomad Armenia 10GB plan details.
Nomad says the checked 10GB plan starts on connection to a supported network, or automatically after 60 days from purchase. Add-ons are available. The 50GB/30-day option is €45.36, useful if you expect to tether or upload a lot. Compare your actual usage before buying more data. Full review: Nomad eSIM Review 2026. I’ve personally tested Nomad in Portugal (Porto, Lisbon and Figueira da Foz).
Holafly: unlimited destination data and separate monthly plans
| Destination pack / separate subscription | Price | Per day |
|---|---|---|
| 5 days | €28.90 | €5.78 |
| 7 days 🔥 | €36.90 | €5.27 |
| 15 days | €58.90 | €3.93 |
| Global Unlimited / month | €59.95 ⭐ | Separate recurring global plan |
Holafly’s Armenia destination plan lists Team Telecom Armenia and Viva-MTS. Its seven-day price is €36.90, with unlimited phone data subject to fair use and 1GB of hotspot sharing per day. The separate global subscriptions cost €59.95/month for Unlimited or €45.95/month for Light with 25GB; Holafly’s monthly coverage checker confirmed Armenia. Sources: Holafly Armenia terms, Holafly monthly plans and coverage checker.
The one-day destination pack costs €8.90; longer packs cost less per day. A subscription can be worth comparing for a longer trip, but check its start date, renewal and hotspot terms separately. The destination pack and monthly plan are different products. Full review: Holafly Review 2026. I’ve personally tested Holafly in Portugal, Turkey and Thailand.
Airalo: MTS-Vivacell, fixed packages and unlimited options
| Plan (MTS-Vivacell) | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 3GB / 3d | €13.50 | Short trip |
| 10GB / 30d | €36.00 | Compare 30-day validity |
| 20GB / 30d | €45.50 | Heavy use |
| Unlimited / 5d | €28.50 | Short unlimited |
Airalo’s Armenia page lists MTS-Vivacell. Its 10GB/30-day pack now costs €36. The €35.50 price buys 15 days, so choosing the same number of gigabytes does not always mean choosing the same product.
The 3GB offer at €13.50 lasts three days, not 30. Airalo also offers 5GB/30 days at €23 and a separate global range from €8. For Armenia alone, Nomad’s checked 10GB pack is cheaper; Airalo may still suit you if you already use the app or need a different duration. Full review: Airalo Review 2026. I’ve personally tested Airalo in Portugal (Figueira da Foz). My Airalo discount code is ANDRE15. Sources: Airalo Armenia packages.
Saily: security tools and hotspot within your allowance
| Plan (Armenia networks) | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| 1GB / 7d | €7.99 | Ad blocker · web protection · hotspot uses allowance |
| 5GB / 30d | €22.99 | |
| 10GB / 30d | €39.99 |
Saily comes from the company behind NordVPN, but the Armenia data plan does not include a NordVPN subscription. It includes an ad blocker, web protection and virtual-location features for the Saily connection. Saily explicitly says these are not a replacement for a dedicated VPN. Hotspot is allowed without a separate tethering cap, but it uses the data you bought. Sources: Saily security features.
The €39.99 10GB/30-day plan costs more than the Nomad and Jetpac options here. Saily’s public Armenia page does not name a local operator, so I would not buy it on an assumed Viva partnership. Full review: Saily eSIM Review 2026. I have not personally tested Saily; these details come from its official product and security pages. Sources: Saily Armenia plans.
Jetpac: lower fixed-data prices and eligible essential apps
| Plan (VivaCell; technology varies) | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 3GB / 7d | €10.00 | Short trip + perks |
| 10GB / 30d | €28.50 | Eligible essential apps; signal required |
| 5GB / 30d | €16.00 | Lighter use |
Jetpac now lists €28.50 for 10GB/30 days and €16 for 5GB/30 days. Its coverage panel names MTS Armenia-VivaCell and lists 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. That is a published capability, not a promise of 5G along the whole itinerary. Sources: Jetpac Armenia plans and coverage.
Eligible packs of 3GB or more include restricted access to essential apps after the main data allowance runs out. This still requires a mobile signal and does not provide internet in a dead zone. SmartDelay needs advance registration and a qualifying flight delay; lounge access is not automatic for every delay. In-app voice packs are sold separately. I have not personally tested Jetpac.
Reading the tables: Nomad is the lowest-priced 10GB/30-day option in this selection at €24.02, followed by Jetpac at €28.50, Airalo at €36 and Saily at €39.99. For 5GB/30 days, Jetpac is cheaper than Nomad. Holafly’s unlimited and monthly products need a separate comparison because their allowances and renewal terms differ.

Best eSIM for Armenia 2026: The 5 Providers in Detail
For a week or two of maps, messaging and occasional uploads, Nomad’s 10GB/30-day pack at €24.02 is the one I would compare first. It lists Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom, and costs less than the equivalent 10GB/30-day packs from the other fixed-data providers in this guide. If you only need 5GB, however, Jetpac’s €16 pack is cheaper than Nomad’s €21.35 option.
More listed networks can be helpful if one is unavailable, but the phone does not necessarily switch to the fastest network at every moment. Check the installation email and available partner networks if you need to select one manually. I would still keep offline maps for Tatev, Dilijan and canyon roads. Full review: Nomad eSIM Review 2026. My own Nomad experience is in Portugal (Porto, Lisbon and Figueira da Foz), not Armenia.
| Plan (fixed data; check plan details) | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 10GB / 30d | €24.02 ⭐ | My 10GB pick |
| 20GB / 30d | €32.91 | Content creators / heavy use |
| 50GB / 30d | €45.36 | Long stay / digital nomad |
| 5GB / 30d | €21.35 | Yerevan city break |
Best for: travelers who want around 10GB, a 30-day allowance and more than one listed local network.
How to Install Nomad for Armenia
This Nomad walkthrough shows the app setup and eSIM installation process before your Armenia trip. Complete it while you still have stable Wi-Fi so the plan is ready when you arrive at Zvartnots Airport.
For the checked 10GB plan, service starts when it first connects to a supported network or after 60 days from purchase. Select Nomad for mobile data and enable data roaming for that eSIM as instructed. Keep your home line’s data disabled.
Holafly is worth considering if you do not want to ration phone data. The Armenia destination pack uses Team Telecom Armenia and Viva-MTS, with €28.90 for five days or €36.90 for seven. Unlimited does not mean an unconditional speed guarantee: fair-use restrictions apply, and the Armenia pack allows 1GB/day of hotspot data.
For a longer stay, compare the separate global monthly plans: Light gives 25GB for €45.95/month, while Unlimited is €59.95/month. Armenia was included in Holafly’s coverage checker on 21 October. They renew automatically until cancelled and have their own activation and sharing terms, so do not treat them as the same Armenia pack with a cheaper label. Full review: Holafly Review 2026. I’ve personally tested Holafly in Portugal, Turkey and Thailand.
| Destination pack / separate subscription | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Global Unlimited / month | €59.95 ⭐ | Digital nomads / long stay |
| 5 days | €28.90 🔥 | Short-stay sweet spot |
| 7 days | €36.90 | Week trip |
| Global Light 25GB / month | €45.95 | Separate recurring global plan |
Best for: travelers who prefer unlimited phone data and can work within the selected plan’s fair-use and sharing conditions.
How to Install Holafly for Armenia
This Holafly video explains how the QR-code installation works and what to check before activating an unlimited Armenia plan. Install it before departure, but follow the plan’s activation instructions so the validity period starts at the correct time.
Once you land, use Holafly as the data line, switch on data roaming for that eSIM, and leave your home SIM’s data turned off. The dual-network setup can then connect to the available partner network in Armenia.
Airalo’s current Armenia product page names MTS-Vivacell. It offers more than one duration for the same allowance: 10GB costs €35 for seven days, €35.50 for 15 days or €36 for 30 days. Check that duration carefully if you are comparing a search snippet with a provider’s checkout.
The app may be the deciding factor if you already use Airalo. The checked 10GB product has a 365-day activation window, starts its validity when it connects in the coverage area and supports top-ups. Its five-day unlimited option costs €28.50, with 3GB of high-speed data per day before speeds reduce to 1Mbps. The separate global range starts at €8, but its network list and country coverage need their own check. Full review: Airalo Review 2026. I’ve personally tested Airalo in Portugal (Figueira da Foz). Sources: Airalo five-day unlimited terms.
| Plan (MTS-Vivacell) | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 10GB / 30d | €36.00 | 30-day allowance |
| 5GB / 30d | €23.00 | City break |
| Unlimited / 5d | €28.50 | Short unlimited |
| Global plan | from €8.00 | Multi-country journey |
Best for: existing Airalo users and travelers who prefer its package durations or a separately verified global plan.
How to Install Airalo for Armenia
This Airalo walkthrough covers purchase, installation, and activation inside the app. It is especially useful for first-time eSIM users who want to prepare the Armenia plan before leaving home.
After arriving in Armenia, select the Airalo eSIM for mobile data and enable data roaming on that line. Check the Airalo app if the plan needs a specific APN or manual network selection.
Saily’s attraction is the set of tools you can enable in the app: ad blocking, web protection and a virtual location. They are designed for the Saily mobile connection. Buying this Armenia pack does not give you a full NordVPN subscription or automatically protect a separate hotel Wi-Fi connection.
Hotspot sharing is allowed, with no separate tethering restriction, but it consumes the plan’s allowance. The 5GB/30-day plan costs €22.99 and 10GB/30 days costs €39.99. Saily offers up to 180 days to activate, with automatic activation at that deadline if unused. A US phone number and call/text plans are separate purchases, not included Armenian calls. Full review: Saily eSIM Review 2026. I have not personally tested Saily, so this assessment is based on official specifications.
| Plan (Armenia networks) | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| 5GB / 30d | €22.99 | Ad blocker · web protection · hotspot uses allowance |
| 10GB / 30d | €39.99 | |
| 1GB / 7d | €7.99 |
Best for: travelers who want Saily’s app and security features, with occasional tethering within a fixed data allowance.
How to Install Saily for Armenia
This Saily walkthrough shows how to prepare the app, install the eSIM, and manage the connection before your Armenia trip. Installing on reliable Wi-Fi also gives you time to confirm that the security features are available in the app.
When you arrive, choose Saily as the mobile-data line and enable roaming for the eSIM. You can then manage data, hotspot use, and the included protection tools directly inside the Saily app.
Jetpac deserves a fresh look at its current prices. 5GB/30 days is €16, and 10GB/30 days is €28.50. The country panel lists MTS Armenia-VivaCell with 2G/3G/4G/5G support. Hotspot is allowed, but the fixed pack still has a finite allowance. Its separate unlimited products use a daily high-speed allowance of 3GB, followed by up to 1Mbps for the rest of that 24-hour cycle.
The essential-app benefit applies to eligible purchases of at least 3GB. It covers restricted functions such as WhatsApp chat and Google Maps navigation when the main allowance is used up; it is not unrestricted internet, and no mobile signal means no online app connection. Check the app for eligibility and any benefit allowance. SmartDelay requires flight registration and a qualifying delay. Voice packs are separate and use in-app calling. I have not personally tested Jetpac.
| Plan (VivaCell; technology varies) | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 10GB / 30d | €28.50 | Eligible essential apps; signal required |
| 5GB / 30d | €16.00 | Lighter use |
| 3GB / 7d | €10.00 | Short trip |
Best for: lighter data users comparing 5GB packs and travelers who understand the conditions attached to the app and flight-delay benefits.
How to Install Jetpac for Armenia
This Jetpac walkthrough explains the app and eSIM setup before travel. Complete the installation on Wi-Fi so the plan and its travel features are ready before you leave for Armenia.
Install before travel and follow the app’s activation instructions when you arrive. An unused pack remains available for three months from purchase. Keep the app accessible for usage, top-ups and any benefit registration you need.
Armenia eSIM Coverage: Planning by Destination
I have not measured reception at these stops. Use the table as a route-planning checklist, not a signal survey. Holafly specifically warns that mountain regions, routes in southern Syunik and parts of the Transcaucasian Trail can have limited or unstable coverage. Local operator maps are a better starting point for an exact address than a blanket promise about an entire monastery circuit. Sources: Viva coverage map.
| Destination | Planning context | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Yerevan | City stop | Check your hotel area; 5G depends on plan and device |
| Garni Temple & Geghard | Day-trip route | Save the drive and destination details offline |
| Khor Virap (Ararat views) | Day-trip route | Check the approach road and your stop on operator maps |
| Lake Sevan (Sevanavank) | Lake route | Save lakeside routes before driving |
| Gyumri | City stop | Check your accommodation address and selected network |
| Dilijan National Park | Town and forest routes | Plan for signal variation on trails |
| Debed Canyon (Haghpat, Sanahin) | Canyon route | Check Haghpat, Sanahin and connecting roads separately |
| Noravank (Amaghu Gorge) | Gorge route | Keep the approach route and return journey offline |
| Tatev & Vorotan Gorge | Mountain and gorge route | No measured cable-car or gorge test in this guide |
| Syunik south / mountain passes | Remote route | Holafly warns of limited or unstable southern Syunik coverage |

The South Caucasus Circuit: Armenia in Context
Best eSIM for Armenia 2026: Travel Tips
- Download maps before a monastery drive. Save the route and key addresses while connected. Do not rely on a coverage graphic as proof of reception on a trail or in a gorge.
- Check your home roaming plan. Armenia is outside the EU roaming area, but some home plans include it. Compare your existing allowance before buying another service.
- Check networks at the package level. Nomad’s checked 10GB plan lists three networks. That is useful choice, not a guarantee of the fastest connection or uninterrupted mountain coverage.
- Install before arriving at Zvartnots Airport (EVN). Use a reliable connection and keep the installation instructions available offline. Activate according to your provider’s rules.
- Know which currency you are paying. Armenia uses AMD. This comparison records the providers’ own EUR quotes; your payment card may still charge currency-conversion fees if its billing currency differs.
- Working from Armenia? Compare data and hotspot needs, not just trip length. Nomad’s 50GB/30-day pack is €45.36. Holafly’s separate €59.95/month Unlimited subscription renews automatically; confirm its fair-use and sharing terms. Check accommodation Wi-Fi if your work depends on it.
- Plan each country. Do not assume an Armenia pack continues working in Georgia. Use the Georgia guide or verify a regional/global coverage list before buying.
FAQ: Best eSIM for Armenia 2026
Final Verdict: Best eSIM for Armenia 2026
I would choose the pack after deciding how much data I need. For 10GB, Nomad’s €24.02/30-day offer combines a competitive price with three named networks. For a lighter trip, Jetpac’s €16/5GB pack costs less. Neither purchase removes the need to prepare for a mountain route, and I would not pay extra for a promise of flawless monastery coverage.
- 🥇 Nomad: My 10GB pick, €24.02/30 days; three listed networks. ANDRE15: 15% off eligible purchases.
- 🥈 Holafly: Unlimited Armenia packs, or a separate global subscription at €59.95/month. Fair use applies. ANDREONDIGITAL: 5% off eligible purchases.
- 🥉 Airalo: Familiar app, varied durations and €36/10GB/30 days. ANDRE15: 15% off eligible purchases.
- 🔒 Saily: Security tools and €22.99/5GB/30 days; no included NordVPN subscription. ANDREONDIGITAL: 10% off eligible purchases.
- 🎁 Jetpac: €16/5GB or €28.50/10GB, both 30 days, plus eligible essential apps. ANDREONDIGITAL: check the discount at checkout.
For heavy phone use, compare Holafly’s destination pack with its separate monthly subscription and read the sharing limits before choosing. Keep Airalo if its app and durations suit you; choose Saily if you value its built-in tools. Whichever provider you use, check your home roaming allowance, save offline maps and confirm the final price after your coupon. Those are the preparations that make the choice useful on the trip.

This article contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The selected prices are the providers’ own EUR quotes checked on 21 October 2026, before coupons. Eligibility and checkout terms can affect discounts; do not assume codes stack with another promotion. I’m Brazilian and based in Belgium. I’ve personally tested Nomad and Airalo in Portugal, and Holafly in Portugal, Turkey and Thailand.
I have not personally tested Saily or Jetpac, or used an eSIM in Armenia. Armenia network and coverage information is research-based. Nomad’s checked 10GB plan lists Telecom Armenia, Viva and Ucom; Holafly’s destination plan lists Team Telecom and Viva-MTS; Airalo lists MTS-Vivacell; Jetpac lists MTS Armenia-VivaCell. Saily does not name a local partner on its public Armenia page. The route graphic is illustrative, not a measured signal map.
Armenia is outside the EU roaming area and uses the dram (AMD). Check your home plan, the exact eSIM product and the routes you plan to travel. Mountain terrain and indoor conditions can affect reception. None of these product descriptions establishes guaranteed coverage at every destination.
