Prices and plan terms checked October 16, 2026. Prices in euros (€), before coupon discounts. Sale prices can change.
A cheap Europe eSIM should fit the trip you are actually taking. For a week with 5GB of data, the SimOptions plan checked here costs €3.50. For a month with 50GB, it is €29.90. Paying for a larger allowance only makes sense if you will use it and the plan covers every stop on your route.
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: SimOptions Europe.
I have organised this comparison around the decisions that affect your bill: how much data you need, how long it lasts, which countries are included, and whether you need a phone number. The lowest price per GB and the lowest amount to pay today are often different plans.
How this comparison was checked: the prices below come from the providers’ official product pages in EUR on October 16, 2026. These are selected plans from the providers already covered in this guide, not an audit of every eSIM on sale. Rankings use the displayed price before coupons, and compare the stated validity. This is a pricing and terms review, not a new network speed test. Country lists, sale prices and checkout eligibility can change.

Quick answer: Europe eSIM prices checked October 16, 2026
Lowest starting price checked: SimOptions 1GB/3 days, €1.50. For 5GB over a week: SimOptions €3.50. For 50GB over 30 days: SimOptions €29.90. Lowest cost per GB in the 30-day table: Bouygues via SimOptions 120GB, €52.50 (€0.44/GB). Unlimited: Maya €16.99/7 days or €42.49/30 days, subject to its terms. Calls and SMS: Bouygues Travel Basic+ 20GB/15 days, €22.50. All are displayed prices before coupons; coverage and speed conditions differ.
Before choosing from the cards, compare the full trip cost. A seven-day offer does not cover a 15-day holiday, and a 120GB bundle can have a low price per GB while costing more than you need to spend. The tables below separate those cases.
Price Per GB: Selected 30-Day Plans Ranked
Every row below has 30 days of validity. I divide the displayed package price by its included GB, sort using the unrounded result, then show two decimal places. A bigger allowance lowers the unit cost only if it is useful to you. Coverage differs, so a lower position in this table does not mean a better fit for every route.
| Rank | Provider | Plan | Price (€) | €/GB | Coverage |
| 1 | Bouygues via SimOptions | 120GB / 30 days | €52.50 | €0.44 | 46 countries and territories |

Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: Ubigi 50GB, SimOptions, Nomad, Airalo EU+UK, Airalo Europe, Ubigi 10GB, Ubigi 25GB.
Sale and coupon note: Nomad displayed 20GB at €24.09 and 50GB at €31.23, while SimOptions also showed promotional prices. ANDRE15 is the existing Nomad discount code shared on this site. Try it at checkout and check whether it applies to your selected plan or can combine with a sale. No coupon saving has been deducted in the rankings.

Airalo EU+UK and Airalo Europe are different products. The EU+UK plan covers 28 countries and lists 50GB/30 days at €45. Airalo Europe covers 41 and lists the same allowance and validity at €64.50. The difference is €19.50 before coupons, but only useful as a saving when the 28-country list covers your entire itinerary. Do not assume Switzerland, Turkey or a non-EU Balkan stop is included in an EU+UK package.

Cheapest eSIM for Europe 2026 by Trip Length
For One Week: Plans That Cover All 7 Days
| Use case | Provider | Plan | Price (€) | What to check |
| Light data | SimOptions | 5GB / 7 days | €3.50 | 34 countries; data only; sale price |
| More data | SimOptions | 10GB / 7 days | €7.50 | Same seven-day limit |
| Longer validity | Ubigi | 10GB / 30 days | €15.00 | Useful if the trip may extend |
| Unlimited at lowest listed price here | Maya | Unlimited / 7 days | €16.99 | Global plan; daily quota amount not stated in legal terms |
| Unlimited with stated high-speed allowance | Ubigi | Unlimited / 7 days | €23.00 | 25GB at full speed, then 2Mbps |
| Unlimited with daily allowance | Saily | Unlimited / 7 days | €23.99 | 5GB/day, then up to 1Mbps |
| Wider regional list | Airalo Europe | Unlimited / 7 days | €25.00 | 41 countries; fair-use policy |
| Destination unlimited | Holafly | Unlimited / 7 days | €25.50 | 33 countries; carrier fair use; hotspot 1GB/day |
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: SimOptions, Ubigi 10GB, Maya, Maya terms, Ubigi unlimited, Saily, Airalo, Holafly.

My choice for a modest one-week data budget: start with SimOptions 5GB for €3.50 if the country list fits. Step up to its 10GB plan at €7.50 if you expect more uploads. Maya has the lowest seven-day unlimited price checked here at €16.99, but its published terms leave the daily high-speed quota unspecified. Holafly is €25.50 and also has carrier fair-use conditions. For the fuller trade-offs, read Holafly Review 2026.
For a short city break, the cheapest eSIM for Europe 2026 is usually not the biggest plan. A 7-day traveler using Maps, WhatsApp, hotel Wi-Fi, and transport apps often gets better value from a smaller fixed-data plan than from an unlimited plan.
For Two Weeks: Check Whether You Need 14 or 15 Days
| Provider | Plan | Price (€) | Unit cost | Best fit |
| SimOptions | 20GB / 15 days | €11.90 | €0.60/GB | Lower upfront data cost |
| Bouygues via SimOptions | 20GB + calls/SMS / 15 days | €22.50 | €1.13/GB | European calls and a French number |
| Maya | Unlimited / 14 days | €23.79 | €1.70/day | Exactly 14 days, not a 15-day trip |
| Nomad | 20GB / 30 days | €24.09 | €1.20/GB | More validity; current sale |
| Ubigi | 25GB / 30 days | €29.00 | €1.16/GB | Extra validity and allowance |
| Ubigi | Unlimited / 15 days | €35.00 | €2.33/day | 30GB at full speed, then 2Mbps |
| Airalo EU+UK | Unlimited / 15 days | €36.00 | €2.40/day | 28-country itinerary |
| Airalo Europe | Unlimited / 15 days | €45.00 | €3.00/day | 41-country list |
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: SimOptions, Maya, Nomad, Ubigi 25GB, Ubigi unlimited 15 days, Airalo EU+UK, Airalo Europe.
For a 15-day trip with 20GB: SimOptions at €11.90 is the lowest displayed total among the options above. Bouygues Travel Basic+ costs €22.50 if European calls and SMS matter. Maya’s €23.79 unlimited plan lasts 14 days, so it cannot be treated as a full 15-day alternative. For 15 days of unlimited data, Ubigi at €35 is lower than the other verified 15-day offers here, with a 30GB full-speed allowance.
Best for 1 Month (30 days)
| Provider | Plan | Price (€) | Unit cost | Conditions |
| SimOptions | 50GB / 30 days | €29.90 | €0.60/GB | 34 countries; current sale |
| Nomad | 50GB / 30 days | €31.23 | €0.62/GB | 35 countries; sale before coupon |
| Ubigi | 25GB / 30 days | €29.00 | €1.16/GB | Half the data of the 50GB plans |
| Bouygues via SimOptions | 120GB + calls/SMS / 30 days | €52.50 | €0.44/GB | Lowest unit cost in the selected 30-day table |
| Maya | Unlimited / 30 days | €42.49 | €1.42/day | Global plan; read daily-quota terms |
| Airalo EU+UK | Unlimited / 30 days | €53.50 | €1.78/day | 28 countries; fair-use policy |
| Ubigi | Unlimited / 30 days | €62.00 | €2.07/day | 60GB full speed, then 2Mbps |
| Saily | Unlimited / 30 days | €63.99 | €2.13/day | 5GB/day, then up to 1Mbps |
| Airalo Europe | Unlimited / 30 days | €65.50 | €2.18/day | 41 countries; fair-use policy |
| Holafly | Unlimited / 30 days | €70.90 | €2.36/day | 33 countries; carrier fair use; hotspot 1GB/day |
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: SimOptions, Nomad, Ubigi 25GB, Maya, Airalo EU+UK, Ubigi unlimited, Saily, Airalo Europe, Holafly.
For 50GB across 30 days: SimOptions is €29.90 before coupons, compared with Nomad at €31.23. That is a €1.33 difference, so check both coverage lists and the final Nomad price after trying your code. For unlimited data, Maya’s €42.49 is the lowest 30-day total checked here. Ubigi’s €49 monthly subscription is a separate commitment: cancellation is available after three months, so it is not a €49 one-month holiday plan.
Maya versus Holafly for 30 days: €42.49 versus €70.90 is a €28.41 difference in displayed price. That does not make their speed or sharing conditions equivalent. Maya’s legal terms mention a daily high-speed quota without stating the amount; Holafly applies carrier fair-use rules and limits Europe hotspot sharing to 1GB per day. For work calls or laptop use, resolve those limits before buying. Read Maya Mobile Review 2026.

For Longer Stays: 60 to 180 Days
| Provider | Plan or budget scenario | Price (€) | Average cost | Important distinction |
| Maya | Two separate 30-day plans | €84.98 | €1.42/day over 60 days | Illustration assuming unchanged prices, not a 60-day bundle |
| Maya | Six separate 30-day plans | €254.94 | €1.42/day over 180 days | Illustration, not a verified 180-day product or continuity promise |
| Ubigi | Unlimited monthly subscription, six charges | €49 × 6 = €294 | €49 per billing month | Renews monthly; cancellation after three months |
| Holafly Plans | Unlimited subscription, six 30-day charges | €59.95 × 6 = €359.70 | About €2/day over 180 days | Starts on purchase; renews every 30 days; not traditional voice calling |
| Airalo Europe | 100GB / 180 days | €170.00 | €0.94/day; €1.70/GB | One fixed-data package; 41-country list |
| Saily | 50GB / 90 days | €85.49 | €0.95/day; €1.71/GB | Fixed allowance; 35-country list including Turkey |
| Ubigi | 50GB / 180 days | €69.00 | €0.38/day; €1.38/GB | One fixed-data plan with six-month validity |
| Ubigi | 100GB / 360 days | €100.00 | €1.00/GB | More validity than a six-month trip; compare total spend |
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: Ubigi 50GB/180 days, Ubigi 100GB/360 days, Maya current plans, Ubigi subscription, Holafly Plans, Airalo Europe, Saily.

Long-stay budgets need a qualification. The Maya totals above are arithmetic based on buying its current 30-day plan again at the same price. They are not advertised 60-day or 180-day packages, and they do not guarantee automatic renewal or uninterrupted service. Check the renewal process and fair-use terms before relying on mobile data for work. See Maya Mobile Review 2026.
For a longer stay, compare the commitment as carefully as the monthly figure. Ubigi’s subscription has a three-month minimum before cancellation. Holafly Plans starts when purchased, not on arrival. Holafly’s terms restrict the service to international travel: for customers based in the EU, domestic use includes the whole EU, and continuous roaming in one destination is limited to 90 days. Maya’s acceptable-use policy does not allow the service to replace fixed home or office broadband. If you mainly use hotel Wi-Fi, a long-validity fixed-data package can be easier to budget than repeated unlimited purchases. Ubigi’s 50GB/180 days costs €69; its 100GB/360 days costs €100, less upfront than Airalo Europe’s 100GB/180 days at €170. Compare their country lists before choosing from price alone.

Hidden Costs to Watch For
1. Unlimited Data Does Not Promise Unlimited Full-Speed Use
Nomad: the current Europe unlimited cards state 2GB per day at 4G/5G, then 1Mbps; this daily rule does not apply to the fixed-data bundles. Airalo: its default unlimited policy is 3GB per 24 hours, then 1Mbps until reset, unless a different allowance is disclosed for the package. Saily: 5GB per day, then up to 1Mbps. Ubigi: the 7-, 15- and 30-day unlimited products list 25GB, 30GB and 60GB respectively at full speed, then 2Mbps. Maya: its landing page promotes no throttling, but its legal terms describe a daily high-speed quota followed by standard speed without giving the amount. Ask Maya to clarify your chosen plan before depending on it for work. Holafly: carriers may temporarily reduce speed under fair-use rules; absence of a universal published GB threshold is not a promise of unthrottled data.

2. Sales and Coupon Eligibility Can Change the Final Price
Nomad’s 20GB and 50GB prices and the SimOptions offers shown above were discounted when checked. Keep the displayed plan price separate from the ANDRE15 coupon. A code may be limited to eligible purchases or may not combine with another offer. Check the final total before paying rather than subtracting 15% from every advertised sale price. If a sale ends, compare the new total with the same data allowance and validity.
3. Check Countries and Local Networks for Your Route
“Europe” is a product label, not a shared coverage list. Airalo EU+UK has 28 countries, compared with 41 for Airalo Europe. The selected Nomad package has 35 and the low-cost SimOptions package 34. Bouygues products sold through SimOptions list 46 countries and territories, which includes territories and is not a count of EU member states. Local network partners and access to 4G or 5G also vary by country and package; the low-cost SimOptions own-brand offers here list 4G/LTE, while the Bouygues offers list 5G. Check the country/network details on the exact official product page before relying on reception at a specific stop. See Best eSIM for Europe 2026 for the broader comparison.
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: Airalo EU+UK, Airalo Europe, Nomad, SimOptions network and coverage details.

4. Check How You Add Data or Extend the Trip
Airalo offers top-ups on eligible packages, Ubigi sells additional plans in its app, and Nomad offers add-ons for supported plans. Do not assume an add-on extends the original expiry date. Holafly’s help page, updated October 1, 2026, says its destination eSIMs do not support traditional top-ups: an extended trip needs a new plan and a new eSIM profile. Maya’s current 3-, 7-, 14- and 30-day options should be checked against your return date. The How to Activate eSIM guide explains the setup steps.
Official sources, checked October 16, 2026: Airalo package details, Ubigi plan details, Nomad add-on details, Holafly current top-up FAQ, Maya durations.
5. A Data Plan and Your Normal Phone Number Are Different Things
The low-cost data packages compared here do not automatically replace your home number. WhatsApp and other internet calling apps can use the eSIM’s data, but receiving a bank SMS on your existing number usually means keeping that home SIM available and checking its roaming terms. For conventional European calls and SMS, Bouygues Travel Basic+ via SimOptions lists 20GB/15 days at €22.50 with a French number; My European eSIM has 30GB/30 days at €30.90. Orange Holiday Europe lists 50GB/31 days at €36.50. Saily now also offers separate phone-number, text and minutes options, so do not assume every product from a data eSIM brand is data-only. Holafly Plans’ incoming-SMS feature is not traditional voice calling.

How to Install a Nomad eSIM on iPhone Before Your Europe Trip
Installing your Nomad eSIM while you still have reliable Wi-Fi is a practical way to prepare for arrival. First check that your phone is unlocked and supports eSIM, then follow the instructions for the purchased plan. Installation and the start of validity are not always the same event.
The video below shows the main iPhone setup options, including QR code installation, manual setup, and app-based activation. For most travelers, the best move is simple: install the eSIM while still connected to Wi-Fi at home, then turn on the Nomad data line when you arrive in Europe.
Once your Nomad eSIM is installed on iPhone, assign mobile data to the Nomad line and enable data roaming for that travel eSIM when the instructions require it. If you keep your home SIM available for your usual number and SMS, turn off data roaming on the home line and check your home operator’s charges for calls and messages. Disable automatic mobile-data switching if it could route data back to the home SIM.
This setup works well for travelers who want cheap data across Europe without buying a local SIM in each country. It also helps avoid airport SIM queues, public Wi-Fi problems, and last-minute setup stress after landing.
How to Set Up a Nomad eSIM on Android for Europe Travel
Android eSIM setup can look different depending on the phone model, but the goal is always the same: install the plan before your trip and make sure the eSIM is ready to connect when you land. This is important for Europe because many travelers move between countries by train, bus, or short flights and need mobile data from the first day.
The video below explains the main Android installation methods for Nomad eSIMs, including QR code setup, manual entry, and direct device activation when available. It is a useful walkthrough if you are using Samsung, Google Pixel, or another Android phone and want to avoid setup mistakes before traveling.
On Android, select Nomad for mobile data and follow its roaming instructions. Your regular SIM can remain available for your normal number, SMS and calls if your phone supports both lines, but check your home operator’s roaming costs and disable data roaming on that line. Menu names differ by phone model.
This is especially useful if your trip includes several European countries and you want one affordable plan instead of changing SIM cards. A clean Android setup makes it easier to use Google Maps, Uber, Bolt, WhatsApp, airline apps, accommodation apps, and train tickets without relying on unstable public Wi-Fi.
FAQ: Cheapest eSIM for Europe 2026
What is the cheapest eSIM for Europe in 2026?
Among the plans checked on October 16, 2026, SimOptions lists 1GB/3 days at €1.50, 5GB/7 days at €3.50 and 50GB/30 days at €29.90. Bouygues 120GB/30 days via SimOptions has the lowest unit cost in the selected 30-day table at about €0.44/GB, but costs €52.50 upfront. These are prices before coupons, and country lists differ.
Is Nomad cheaper than Airalo for Europe?
For the 30-day packages checked, Nomad lists 10GB at €20.52 and 50GB at €31.23. Airalo EU+UK lists €22.50 and €45 for those allowances; Airalo Europe lists €28.50 and €64.50. Nomad is cheaper in those comparisons before coupons, but its selected plan covers 35 countries versus 28 for EU+UK and 41 for Airalo Europe. Check your route and the final checkout price.
What is the cheapest unlimited eSIM for Europe?
Maya’s current global catalogue has the lowest seven-day and 30-day unlimited prices in this comparison: €16.99 and €42.49. Its legal terms mention a daily high-speed quota without disclosing the amount, so confirm that limit before buying. Ubigi’s €49 monthly unlimited subscription has a three-month minimum before cancellation and is not equivalent to a one-month prepaid plan.
Which Europe eSIM has the best price per GB?
Among the selected 30-day packages, Bouygues 120GB at €52.50 is about €0.44/GB. SimOptions 50GB at €29.90 is about €0.60/GB, Nomad 50GB at €31.23 is about €0.62/GB, and Bouygues 60GB at €37.50 is €0.625/GB, rounded to €0.63. The table is sorted before rounding. A lower unit cost is not a saving if you buy data you will not use.
What is the cheapest eSIM for Europe with calls and SMS?
The lowest verified voice-and-SMS option listed here is Bouygues Travel Basic+ via SimOptions, with 20GB for 15 days at €22.50, a French number and European calls/SMS. Bouygues My European eSIM offers 30GB for 30 days at €30.90. Orange Holiday Europe has 50GB for 31 days at €36.50. Check the included destinations and calling zones; these offers do not replace your existing home phone number.
Is Maya Mobile cheaper than Holafly for long stays in Europe?
For the current 30-day offers, Maya costs €42.49 and Holafly Europe costs €70.90, a €28.41 difference before coupons. Six Maya purchases at an unchanged price would total €254.94; six Holafly Plans Unlimited 30-day subscription charges at €59.95 would total €359.70. That is an illustrative budget comparison, not a Maya 180-day bundle. Fair-use, hotspot, activation and subscription conditions differ.
Final Verdict: Cheapest eSIM for Europe 2026
I would start with the smallest plan that comfortably covers the itinerary, then compare the larger bundles only if the extra data has a purpose. These are the choices I would check first from the current prices above:
- A few days and very little data: SimOptions 1GB/3 days at €1.50.
- A week with 5GB: SimOptions 5GB/7 days at €3.50. Check its 34-country list first.
- 10GB with time to spare: Ubigi 10GB/30 days at €15.
- A month with 50GB: compare SimOptions at €29.90 with Nomad at €31.23 before trying ANDRE15.
- A large allowance: Bouygues 120GB/30 days at €52.50 has the lowest €/GB in this selected 30-day table.
- Unlimited: Maya is lowest here at €16.99/7 days or €42.49/30 days, but get clarity on its high-speed quota before relying on it for work.
- European calls and SMS: Bouygues Travel Basic+ 20GB/15 days at €22.50, or 30GB/30 days at €30.90.
- A long stay: weigh Ubigi’s 50GB/180 days at €69 or 100GB/360 days at €100 against repeated purchases and subscription commitments. Do not choose from the monthly headline alone.
A practical example: if you need 5GB for seven days and SimOptions covers your route, its €3.50 plan costs less than €29.90 for 50GB you will not use. If you need 5GB for 30 days, the seven-day plan is too short: Airalo EU+UK has 5GB/30 days at €13, while Ubigi offers 10GB/30 days at €15. Ubigi’s €7 plan only has 3GB, so it does not meet a 5GB requirement. Check data, dates and destinations first; the cheapest suitable total comes after that.
